SkinMedica's Age Defense Retinol Complex 0.5 enhances the skin's texture to promote a brighter, more youthful complexion. Formulated for skin tolerant to retinol treatments, it stimulates collagen production and enhances faster cell renewal to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Algae extract ensures skin is soft, hydrated and protected against free-radical damage.

Apply a single pump to face in the evening. If you have never used a retinol product before, begin by limiting use to twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. Mild redness, peeling and irritation is expected when using this product. Use daily sun protection with SPF 20 or higher during use of this product. Avoid getting in eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.
CAUTION: Do not use if you are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant.

Another amazing SkinMedica product
I knew my skin could tolerate a retinol, so I decided to start with the 0.5 complex. I love this retinol. It doesn't irritate my skin and has significantly improved its texture. Love This Product!!!
I started out using this everyday, not a good idea! It dried out the skin under my eyes and was very uncomfortable. I slowed down and began using only 3 times a week and the results have been remarkable! I used MD Forte for years, and I was devastated when they stopped making it. I've only been using this product for a couple weeks now, but I am very pleased with it so far. I have very sensitive skin, so I have started out using it slowly (every couple of days). I feel my skin is a little dry getting adjusted to it, but otherwise I really do love it. I'm a first time retinol user and am glad I gave this one a try! I will certainly re-purchase down the line if I continue seeing favorable results as I am now. I absolutely love the entire Skinmedica line. Good investment
This was my first time using any retinol product. My skin had a quite a reaction to it on the first use but since then has gotten a lot better. My skin can tolerate it now so I'm moving up to the next higher strength. I'm glad I stuck it out with this retinol because I look like I have new skin! I can't stop starting at it in the mirror! If you don't have any skin conditions that prevent you from using retinol products in your regime I highly recommend that you try it, but start with the lowest strength first.

I have heard wonders about retinol products. I myself am new to retinol (using for prevention) and I have to say I'm absolutely in love with this product. I do suggest following the directions for gradual use if you are new to using retinol products. My skin did become very dry the first couple of months using this. Minimized the usage to every third night and have worked my way up to every night. Overall great product and will repurchase! Maybe up it to the 1.0 instead of 0.5 if my skin can handle it!

I've been using this for about 2 months now, and I am loving the results. I had a bit of a rough start with it though, because I foolishly thought my skin was tough and I started off using it every night. As a result, I had sensitivity, redness, and peeling skin for the first month or so (but I powered through). If you've never used a retinol before, I definitely recommend using it as directed on the bottle until your skin gets used to it. Now that my skin can handle it, the results I'm seeing are fantastic.
