Great sunscreen but not worth the price

I LOVE the Mineral Creme SPF 50 by the same brand, so when I saw this was essentially the same product, only with the BB cream pigmentation, I jumped to buy it. I've almost finished the bottle and will not be repurchasing. While there's nothing explicitly wrong with this sunscreen, it's honestly not as good as its cheaper counterpart the Mineral Creme. It really doesn't offer any coverage whatsoever - my blemishes are just as visible after application. Additionally, it sticks to my dry patches a bit, which the Mineral Creme doesn't do. Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent sunscreen. However if you don't mind a light white cast which goes away after 10 minutes, just save yourself $$$ and buy the Mineral Creme SPF 50.

Colors don't work for me.

I wanted to like this but just don't. The shades don't work for me. Odd, pasty pink color that clumped in a weird way on my skin. So I bought the same MDSolarSciences Mineral Crème Broad Spectrum in untinted and apply makeup on top. Wish this product had more color ranges and coverage.

I love the full coverage of this foundation. It keeps my skin looking even and healthy. My skin is prone to breakouts, especially when trying new foundations- no breakouts with this foundation.

My New Go To SPF Protection for my Deep Skintone

I am loving the MDSolarScience BBCream SPF 50 in medium / dark - it acts like a silicon based primer for me on my DEEP skin tone and it blurs my fine lines! I wear it under my Bare Minerals powder, my skin looks fabulous, it's a miracle!! It does not give my skin a white cast AT ALL and it has a high percentage of zinc. I can put it on fairly thick for good SPF protection, and it wears well for my oily / combo / sensitive skin throughout the day. I don't get the oil break through on my forehead, no flares of acne, no sensitivity with my Tretinoin use...checks all of my boxes. Another plus is that this product contains iron oxide which helps to protect darker skin with post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. It contains antioxidants and niacinamide. I'm very happy with my purchase! I really appreciate the fact that this company makes a great mineral based BBCream with a high SPF for darker complexions. There is a HUGE void in the market for my demographic.

Good tone for medium dark skin

I like the tone for my skin tone. It does not look ashy. The finish is not really matte. Its dewy but not overly glowy to begin with. Within a few minutes its a glossy finish. I have combination skin type. I cannot say its my favorite but its not bad. I will not be repurchasing this. It does not last on the skin because it has a lot of silicones and its glossy and slides off easily.

I purchased the blue one. I must say I really love it. The only con is, it easily rubs off. Aside from that it's good! I have med. light skin-tone and sometimes hyperpigmentation and sensitive skin. I find this works good. I put it over another spf, for added coverage, and I use it daily instead of makeup. I bought it b/c of the ingredients.

I'm not certain how I feel about this. It's a like/hate relationship. Definitely provided very minimal coverage; I'm just a shade lighter than Kerry Washington and it kind of sunk into my skin? Just not sure how strongly I feel.

A Decent Option

I have been on the hunt for the perfect mineral sunscreen for ages and have tried many. This is one of the better ones I have tried, but it isn't the best (so far my favorite is Jan Marini Physical Protectant SPF 45). I have fair skin, so I was worried that the light-medium tint would be too dark for me. Surprisingly, it isn't! This beauty balm applies evenly with your fingers (no need for a makeup brush like with some tinted sunscreens). If I have one qualm, I would say that it doesn't dry down very much. It doesn't look greasy, but if you touch your face, it may smear off as opposed to having a powdery finish. The product is kind of a greasy/creamy consistency as opposed to an SPF fluid. However, this product is miles ahead of many other mineral face sunscreens. Doesn't pill on application, clean ingredients, and the tint isn't too dark.
