MD SolarSciences Mineral Tinted Crème is the best
I initially received a sample of the MD Solar Sciences Mineral Tinted Crème SPF30 and have been buying it ever since. It covers well and the texture of the product is the best. I shared a tube with my cousin and she has been using it ever since, If I hadn’t received the quite large sample I probably would never know about the product. I had really high hopes after reading the reviews. Not for dry skin at all. Goes on almost like a silicone based primer and dries completely matte. Will be looking into other sunscreens.

Great texture and coverage
This may be one of my favorite sunscreens ever. It has a light, mousse-like texture and absorbs quickly into skin. It leaves a beautiful matte finish which is an added plus since I have oilier skin. Great tint, it feels and looks like BB cream. Some days I can just put this on, add some setting powder and it makes for a great low-maintenace look. I usually use EltaMD but this may make me convert. Only issue is that I would prefer a higher SPF.

Still on the lookout for a good facial sunscreen
Pros: 1) I am a person of color having light brown skin with yellow to neutral undertones. I am tanner in the summer and this doesn’t really leave a white cast. 2) Feels silky. It goes on smoothly and doesn’t affect the color of my face powder or oxidize my makeup. 3) For everyday use this seems to offer good sun protection. I haven’t used out at the beach or for several hours in direct Sun. Cons: 1) The formula separates in the tube easily. The sunscreen stays in my purse, never being in extreme temps and it still separates horribly and takes a ton of shaking before each use. Even with extensive shaking sometimes an “oil” leaks out and in my palm is a dollop of brown goo swimming in a runny oily substance. 2) Pricey for the amount you get. The tube is tiny and isn’t even close to full. I’ve had this for a couple of weeks and know it will not last the month. For now, will stick to Goop Unseen Sunscreen for daily use under my makeup and EltaMD for extended time outdoors. Will be trying other brands tinted mineral sunscreens.

Great reef-safe mineral sunscreen
I received a sample of this from Dermstore and immediately ordered it once the sample was gone. Great sunscreen that checks all the boxes: mineral, reef-safe, no weird white cast to my skin, goes on smoothly with, as they claim, a smooth, filter-like finish thanks to the dimethicone. Also gives my skin a nice matte appearance. I'm pretty pale, so the tint gives me a little color in a natural way. FYI, I plugged the formulation into the beautypedia skincare ingredient checker and the output was great: all the ingredients are in their "best" or "good" categories, and they noted there's some anti-aging ingredients in the formulation too. Highly recommend!
