Glad I saved up for this

Of course you've read about this hairbrush. I had dreamed of owning one for a long time, hearing of its life-changing ways. I ended up buying and replacing knockoffs 3 times, which I realized was about equal to just buying a real one. I've had this brush for more than a year and it is truly a holy grail. Rarely is an everyday object so luxe. It almost serves as decor in my bathroom. Oh, yeah, and it makes my hair super soft and shiny, too. But you probably already knew that.

The Holy Grail of Hairbrushes

Once you try the real thing, nothing else compares. When I finally caved and decided to invest in the Junior model (which has been coined "the Ferrari of brushes"), it changed my life and I'm not being facetious. It changed my life because it changed my hair and how I care for it. I have fine wavy hair, which meant my roots would get oily quickly, but my ends would be dry. I hated using dry shampoo because it would weigh my hair down, and I hated having to wash my hair every day. And when I'd brush it, it would just frizz out at the bottom. Ugh. Needless to say, I could have never gotten away with just air-drying my hair and brushing it...until I started using a Mason Pearson brush. Now, I'm not saying the first time you use it that your hair will turn into gold. But after continuous use, you will see such a difference. Your hair will be so soft! You'll start brush your hair like Marsha Brady because it will just feel so good to touch. And you will never go back to any other hairbrush. I know the price is a bit much, but it's definitely a quality item and an investment. I wouldn't write this ridiculously long review if I didn't believe in this product. And after two years of loving my Junior model so much, I've decided to invest in this smaller version so I can always have it with me on the go.

Test Review - KPK

The Mason Pearson Pocket Bristle & Nylon brush combines boar bristle clusters and nylon strands with a dark ruby handle, forming an elegant and time-tested brush. Hand-finished with Mason Pearson's original 1885 design, this brush strengthens and protects the hair by coating each strand in the sebum that naturally resides at the root. The brush also features a rubber cushion pad that massages the scalp.

Love This Brush!

Sorry I waited so long to purchase this brush...it's fantastic! Yes, it is pricey, but worth it. Cuts through the tangles and leaves your hair silky and smooth.

Great brush!

I've waited forever to spend this much on a brush, and still bought the "pocket" size because its cheaper. At 50, I thought it was time and I'm happy I did- great brush really massages the scalp and increases circulation, and it goes down to the ends without pulling or tugging at the hair. I have shoulder-length, thick, wavy-ish, all white but colored hair- a lot of it according to hairstylist, but a lot less than I used to have, and I noticed that every time I brush there are fewer hairs in the sink- that's a great accomplishment! Months ago I was shedding like a dog. This brush is a nice size, fits well in my hand and isn't heavy; quality and craftsmanship are clearly superior. I like it so much I may buy the bristle one, but again in the smaller size- I honestly like the lighter, fit-in-purse size!
