Dermalogica UltraCalming Cleanser is an extremely gentle face wash that promotes healing and protection for skin aggravated by environmental influences such as pollution, harsh climate, stress, hormonal changes or cosmetic allergies. Exclusive anti-ozonate complex helps guard against future inflammation. Ideal for all environmentally aggravated skin conditions.
Pour a small amount into the palm of hand. Apply to the face and throat and activate by gently massaging with fingertips in light, upward strokes. Can be rinsed thoroughly with warm water or removed with dry cotton pads. Use twice daily, once in the morning and evening. Follow with Dermalogica's Soothing Protection Spray and Barrier Repair moisturizer.

Very gentle cleanser
I have sensitive skin and I love this cleanser. It is very gentle, so much so you can use it around your eyes. The one drawback is that it does not feel like it gives you a super deep cleanse, so on days where I wear makeup, I use a makeup wipe first before using this cleanser. Gentle, non-drying, and there is no irritating fragrance. This entire line of Ultracalming is great.

It's not strong at all and it doesnt strip out all the oils from your skin. If you are looking for something that doesnt really DEEP cleanse your face, this is it.

Calming.. Not Cleansing
I LOVED Dermalogica's special cleansing gel and really thought I would love this even more. Maybe okay for a morning cleanser, but definitely don't like it at the end of the day! I have to wash my face 4-5 times to get makeup off which only takes 1 wash with the special cleansing gel. It's very thick and creamy- a lot like CeraVe's hydrating cleanser. Don't hate it- but it doesn't really work for me as a cleanser.

The skin wash for me
My skin is sensitive so it's nice to have such a neutral, nourishing cleanser. I've used it for many years. It has a very faint scent, which I can't usually tolerate but because it's natural essential oils and so subtle, I can use it. If you MUST have a foamy cleanser for your face, this hydrating gel is not for you.

Best cleanser for sensitive, red skin.
I've always used foaming cleansers thinking that all those bubbles will clean everything but they always left my skin dry and irritated. I've found this cleanser in search of a gentle, non foaming cleanser. This is very gentle and non drying but those the job of cleansing. You will need some time to get used to this cleanser but once you are used to it, you will see the difference.

I love this stuff! I have mild to moderate rosacea for which I was using prescription creams to control. I have not used any prescription creams since I discovered this product! I use the whole line (cleanser, spritz, serum and barrier repair) 2 times daily. My redness is GONE. It's so gone, I can skip foundation!
