Dermalogica Precleanse is just what you need to wash away makeup, oil and dirt from your skin. This plant-based cleansing oil thoroughly melts layers of excess sebum, sunscreen, waterproof makeup, environmental pollutants and residual skin products that build up during the day. Formulated with conditioning Rice Bran and vitamin E oils, this gentle blend can be used around the eye area to remove even waterproof mascara. Offers a deep cleansing ideal even for the oiliest skin conditions.

A 100% Necessity
I started double cleansing a while back but would use a different brand of cleansing balm as my first step. It worked okay, but i would go through it soooo fast. Then I finally saved up to try the Dermalogica Precleanse and it. has. changed. my. life. This product is the absolute perfect first step in the double cleanse process. It has a nice almost lemon scent that isn't too strong and pulls all the dirt and makeup of the day right off! I am already highly recommending it to my friends after the first try! I will say that maybe the application may be a little hard since it just pumps out as liquid into your hands as opposed to the balms that are solid first and easier to hold onto.

Works pretty good
I think this with the special cleansing gel works very well at taking off makeup, oil and dirt. I even used my Obagi clenziderm toner (cause this toner will take off anything that's left) after to see how well it took off everything and the pad was clean. Didn't make my skin break out so that's good, just felt a little dry.

The dermalogica precleanse is a very thin, light cleansing oil, but it takes off makeup like a dream and doesn't leave behind an oily, filmy residue nor does it make my eyes cloudy. It has a citrus-y herbal scent, which I don't mind. I was worried about the essential oils, but they haven't irritated my skin.

Best product for double cleanse method
This oil melts away impurities like no other. Liquid lipstick, water proof mascara, nothing stands a chance against this oil cleanse. The best part, is a bit of water makes it become milky and easy to wash off, unlike others where I had to really scrub with a cloth, precleanse simply rinses of with water. Careful to not get into the eyes, as it will sting a bit. I also have to use a foam cleanser after this, but that is just my personal preferences. Precleanse dissolves away all dirt, make up, and even sebum, so naturally oily skin types will benefit as it helps to remove the excess oil from the skin.
