SkinMedica Total Defense Repair SPF 34 protects skin from sun damage and prevents aging due to chronic exposure to infrared light. Using an advanced antioxidant complex, this restorative formula goes beyond UVA and UVB protection, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving the skin's texture and evening skin tone. Slightly tinted, this lightweight formula also provides sheer coverage for a smooth, polished complexion.
Apply liberally to face and neck before sun exposure and as needed. Reapply after towel drying, swimming or sweating. The product is for external use only.

Great sunscreen for melasma
My dermatologist recommended this sunscreen a couple years ago to help my melasma from getting worse in the summer months. It protects from infrared rays (most sunscreens don’t) which can worsen melasma. I wear this everyday in the summer months (or the non tinted version). It goes on smooth, a little goes a long way, and doesn’t leave much of a residue. Most of the time I just use moisturizer, this tinted sunscreen and no makeup is needed. Highly recommend for those with melasma wanting extra protection, great coverage and a little color!

short expiration dates
Great coverage and protection, this sunscreen in the tinted version has no white cast. However, my Dermstore subscription yielded a tube with only 4 months left until it expires!! There is no way I could use it all up by then, and this is very pricy for such a short life. I sent a note to Dermstore customer service and go NO response. Proceed with caution and maybe buy elsewhere.

This product is great for warmer skin tones in my opinion. It’s coverage is sheer to buildable. Doesn’t pill under other makeup if you use light layers and wait for them to set. Does not breakout my acne prone skin or flare my rosacea

I love SkinMedica products & so I purchased this product to help with sun exposure since I live in FL. Using this product alone is fab, but pairing with other SkinMedica products makes this product sort of flake…totally not acceptable. So basically, using alone is fine, but pairing with other Skinmedica products is less than productive.
