Retinal Night Cream
The Retinol night cream has been all that I have used for my night regimen during the past two weeks. I was warned that it might be irritating but I have not had any problems with that. I am very careful about using sunscreen during the day. I have noticed improvement in my dark spots and wrinkles. I am blessed with fairly good skin so at 63 I do not have a lot of wrinkles. I have noticed some around my eyes in the past 6 months. These have decreased with the use of the Retinol. The greatest improvement has been with the decrease in the discoloration. I also have noticed an improvement in my skin texture. I do love the product.

Heals Emerging Pimples
I'm not sure if I notice any improvements in my skin texture but I have noticed that if I put it on an emerging pimple, and I'm talking about a large cyst-like pimple, the pimple is deflated the next day. These types of pimples used to take weeks to heal so this is a HUGE deal!

Great retinol product for beginners!
Great product! No irritation! Minimal flaking (which is to be expected) will continue to use. Worth the money. Product will last a long time.

good product
I've been using retinol products for a couple of years now, among which I like Skinceutical's the best. It does not have any smell. It is not grease and does not stain my clothes. I've noticed a little bit of improvement on my skin ever since I started on the cream, and every time I stopped using it, i saw a difference ( the skin is somewhat sagging). I see the product as a serum and apply an additional moisturizer on top of it ( a lighter one during summer and thicker one otherwise) and do not see any bad reaction. I do not think any product, no matter how crazy expensive it is, can do wonders overnight to the skin. It is a victory when the product stops my skin from aging. With that hope, I do think it is a fairly good product, especially with the price ( compared to other skinceutial products, it is a steal!) . On my way to finish the 2nd tube and will be repurchasing.

Great product!
After spending a ton of money on department store products that don't do what they say, I found this product. I have fair skin and red hair. Also I used to have oily skin that got only an occasional zit with large pores. This stuff has transformed my skin but it did not come easily. You have to follow the instructions and be prepared to struggle through the transitional phase or don't bother. This is not a product that will feel luxurious but it will work. I started out with the .5 as suggested and used that for a few weeks then was able to move to the 1% but phased it into my program. Even though I used a different over the counter retinal product, I had to start as though I had not used it before. You are going to be tempted to exfoliate your skin but do not try this unless you want lobster face and to have to take a few days off your retinal program. Also, make sure that any lotion you use after application (apply 30 min after as instructions state) or the next day does not contain an AHA (find a lotion w/absolutely no anti-aging stuff in it.) The product that I used to use had it in there and I wasn't aware of it until I tried to pair it with this product. You will def want to add an EltaMD Intense Moisturizer, and either (I have both) an EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46 (additional help with dark spots and is easy to layer but if you're dry then add lotion first and then apply this) or Elta MD Moisturizing Facial Sunscreen SPF 30+. All of these are found on Dermstore and I had problems finding a good moisturizer in the stores that did not contain perfumes, anti-aging stuff, or other things that will make your skin feel extremely sensitive. Even if you're not sensitive before this, you will be when you start this program so shop for a fragrance free cleanser for dry skin. Be prepared to tough out your first few weeks but do plan ahead with the right moisturizer and sunscreen. If you don't want to bother with using sunscreen like crazy then don't bother with this product because your sun damage will get worse than if you never used it. This product will make your skin more susceptible to damage and do not forget that fluorescent lighting that is used in most gyms and businesses does have up to 50% the UVA as the sun. So do wear sunscreen when indoors or at night if you're going to be by a sunny window or under a fluorescent light. Thanks for reading this long post but I think it would have made things easier for me if I knew this info before I started. I use it all over my face but not on my eyelids. I do use it around my eyes and have never had issues but I never got it too close. Redness caused by the use of this product will, of course, not be permanent.

A Decent Retinol for the Price
After reading the reviews I started out using this product a couple of times a week then increased to every other night as my skin adjusted. After about 4 weeks I noticed my fine lines around my eyes and mouth have really diminished. When I started using this every night, my skin did become itchy and irritated so I scaled back to every other night. You only need a little bit of this stuff so the tube has lasted a few months.

Wonderful Product for Sensitive Skin
I've been using SkinCeuticals Retinol .5 for about three months now. Most weeks I apply it two to three alternating nights after I have cleaned my face. I have Rosacea and have not had any issue with this product. It has improved the appearance of my skin- fading some light spots and providing for an overall smoothing. If you would like to try a Retinol product, but are hesitant because of sensitive skin- start with this one!

My skin looks amazing!
I am 45 and have been using this cream for a year now. I use it twice a week after washing my face at night. My skin care specialist recommended it when I started getting clogged pores all over my face and fine lines around my lips despite my religious skin care and sun protection regimen. One container of this product lasted me one year. I never get clogged pores anymore and the fine lines around my lips have noticeably diminished. My overall complexion looks much smoother.
