Avène Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion removes dirt, oil and impurities without disrupting your skin's delicate moisture balance. This soap-free formula may be used without water and is ideal for post-procedure use to relieve dryness, itching, stinging or burning. It features a concentration of Avène Thermal Spring Water to calm irritation and soothe inflammation.
Apply morning and night with a cotton pad or fingertips with circular motions. Pat dry without rubbing.

SO Gentle!
I have been using Avene Extremely Gentle cleansing lotion for many years, at my dermatologist's recommendation. I have very sensitive skin, and many of the other skin regimens, though high quality, cause my skin to become red and inflamed. I follow the cleanser with other Avene products.

A favourite for years
I've been using this for years and keep coming back to it. I like that it doesn't have any scent and it is very simple on my skin. It doesn't necessarily get off all my make-up, so I need a thicker product for that. Dermstore used to carry the Avene make-up remover - please bring it back.

Soothing Cleanser for Irritated Skin
My skin has been extremely irritated for the past few months and is constantly dry and red. I originally received this product in the Hypersensitive set and I am obsessed. It is everything I have been looking for in a soothing creamy cleanser. While other cleaners strip and irritate my skin further, this one is so soothing and immediately calms my redness and dryness. I am unsure of how thoroughly it cleanses heavy makeup since I normally use it as a second cleanse (first oil cleanser to remove the majority of daily SPF). You can choose to wipe the product after application or keep it on as a leave-on cleanser. And I have found it to be most effective when used twice daily. A little goes a long way so I only apply about a dime size to my whole face. Fantastic product and works really well with the Avene Skin Recovery Cream. It also is fragrance-free (scentless) which is great!

Good for My Reactive Skin
I approach every product, especially cleansers, skeptically due to my highly reactive skin. I've been using this for a few weeks and am enjoying it. I use micellar water to remove my makeup + sunscreen first, then massage this into my skin and rinse it off. Definitely not drying at all which is usually my main complaint. No reactions or breakouts. This leaves me intrigued to try more from Avene.

Great Cleansing Lotion
I was on the market for a new face cleanser, and love Avene products so decided to try this one out. I was surprised to find out it wasn't a foaming cleanser, but literally a lotion. I use my Face Halo damp microfiber cloth to wipe off after rubbing it in. My skin feels super soft and smooth. It has not triggered any breakouts, and has not dried me out at all. Highly recommend for anyone with sensitive skin. Will be buying again.

Underwhelming
I wanted to love this product but didn't. My skin is very sensitive to even gentle cleansers and I tend to underuse them because they dry out and strip my skin. This seemed to leave film on my face and wasn't as gentle as I expected it to be. I'm going to try the LRP Toleriane Demo Cleanser next and see if that goes better.
