Nice feel, not nice taste

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

This lip butter feels nice but I'm not a fan of the taste it leaves. It leaves a persistent lingering aftertaste that I find unpleasant.

Terrible product

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Not a truly hydrating product, only coats the outer layer but doesn't seem to be penetrating so you end up with cracked lips underneath.

too greasy for me

I like the scent of this product but it made me break out on my face. Better suited as a hand cream for me.

Great lip moisturizer

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is more of an oily texture than a balm texture but still makes your lips incredibly soft and hydrated. It has a subtle lavender scent I wasn't expecting but it's nice. I really like the packaging, it's small and convenient to apply.

Decent lip balm

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

It's fine. Like others have mentioned, it has more of a petroleum jelly texture vs. the butter that the name suggests. It moisturizes fairly well. I'm concerned that after a while the formula will start to separate, but the tube is so small that I'll probably use it up before that happens. You might be better off just putting a little bit of the normal Skin Food cream on your lips.

Not what I was hoping for...

Love Skin Food lotion, but don't love Skin Food Lip Butter. Product separates in tube, so when you put it on, oil comes out first, getting all over the place, before the balm. Didn't think it did a great job moisturizing either. Disappointed.

had high expectations

bought the welder food moisturizer and was expecting good things from this. It was only ok, wasn't that impressive.

Waste of money

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I like this lip balm/butter but it goes too quickly. After two days of use - morning and evening application - the tube felt very light. It was going too fast! It is a rich product so you don't need to use much, so it isn't like I am squeezing out globs of product. However, I think you can get more in a traditional stick lip balm or the regular all purpose Skin Food. Not worth it.

gentle lip oil

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

The consistency takes a moment to get used to. The scent is gentle and works as a great lip softener. Does not work well with layer other lip products so one star off.

Misleading name

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I expected a buttery texture from this, but it's more of an oil. It's not bad, it's definitely moisturizing, but it's a little messy, and that certainly wasn't expected with the name.
