Overall Great Moisturizer
I've never tried the original Skin Food, but since my skin isn't super dry, I figured this would be a great alternative. The smell was a little strong at first (probably because my other moisturizer is unscented), but I've grown to love it. The texture is also super rich, even for it being the lighter version of the original. It took me a couple times to figure out how to apply it evenly because it seemed a tad hard to spread, but I got the hang of it and now it's great. Also, a little goes a long way, at least for me, so that's a huge plus. Every morning, I apply it after my C E Ferulic and before my SPF and it definitely makes my skin feel hydrated (maybe even a tad greasy, but not bad at all). The only thing I'm not sure about is how it works under makeup, I'm sure it will work well, but I think it might need to take some time to absorb first.

Thin is lighter than the original which is nice for day time. I find the original is only good for small spots or all over for overnight. This has a nice scent and very moisturizing

I love this new, lighter formula for the warmer seasons! The original formula is also perfect for the winter seasons. All purpose, great for hands, elbows, and softens/moisturizes dry lips! I plan to buy again when this runs out.

This product is just as advertised, a slightly lighter version of the original! I bought both versions to test them out and have been using both, will be running out of the original first but I have very dry skin. Like the original, I'm also not crazy about the scent, it's a bit lighter citrus smell.

Nice light moisturizer
I discovered the original Skin Food a while ago and it's great for so many things. The light version is perfect for warmer months. The mild scent dissipates quickly and it is rich and moisturizing but not greasy. Great for so many things!

An Updated Version of a Classic
I am a huge Weleda Skin Food fan. I've used it for everything from a facial moisturizer, highlighter, lip balm, and body lotion. I was excited to try the lighter formula, especially with the weather warming up, but I was nervous that it wouldn't be as effective. SO HAPPY to report that it's a great lotion. I've only used it as a face moisturizer so far, but it's exactly as advertised: just like the original, just lighter. Love the scent (same of the original) and it has a really great feel going on. It's not greasy, just deeply moisturizing. Will definitely be using it throughout the summer before I switch back to the original.
