I received this in a beautyfix box. I like it but it seems slightly drying for my skin. The smell and texture are pleasant. Not sure if I would purchase in the future. Would be good for someone with oily skin.

Great serum with retinol! I like how when you use it, it goes right into your skin then feels like you have nothing on. Then you can use your moisturizer. I like this brand & this serum! I would definitely recommend!

Good retinol for dry skin
I have extremely dry skin. The product is the first retinol I've used and it didn't take time for my skin to get used to it. I feel the product is moisturizing. I recommend it for dry and sensitive skin.

Disappointed considering the price tag
It's been three weeks of using this product and I have yet to notice any differences. I was hoping for something to discourage blackheads and smooth out the texture of my skin, but this product doesn't seem to do that for me. Overall, my skin coloring has not evened out and the texture seems to have remained the same. However, the product goes into skin easy and the packaging is nice. Would consider continuing use of the product had it not been so pricey.

i'm sure this is helping, but as it's a day product, it's hard to notice a difference or the impact it's having. it's hard to notice improvement my skin after i take my make up off at night. I will keep using it to see if consistent use has a cumulative effect.

The Best Retinol Out there.
Verso was recommended to me by a friend at a chic skincare boutique. I balked at the price-it's just a retinol, I thought-and then, began to hear more and more about how amazing the brand is... Finally, I caved and made the plunge on this serum and, having used it for a little over two weeks, I can honestly say that I'd pay MORE for it. It is absolutely sublime; it feels like a moisturizer almost, it is so comforting, it has a very slight, pleasant scent, and it goes on-for me-in two pumps. So gentle. Yet, its effects are tremendous-it has already made a notable difference on balancing my skin tone, making it brighter in just several uses, and the one night I went without it, I could easily tell the difference the next day. People always want to know how their current product stacks-up and why they should switch: I'm not here to change minds, but I'd like to think, in the past year, I've tried upwards of 12-15 top-shelf retinols. (Kate Somerville, Replenix 10x, Dr. Brandt, and Algenist were some of the best.) I'd been faithfully using Algenist's new Lifting and Firming Serum since August, when it debuted, and had really liked it-it's definitely a close second to Verso-but the results you see with Verso and its superior retinol complex simply trump it. What's more, while it's a bit early to fully tell, I believe that its magic ingredient, the Retinol 8, is beginning to have a profound effect on some light sun damage and creases by my eyes. I can say this much: two weeks in is usually the 'doubt' stage with me and most new products ('is it working? will it work? will it do more...?)-Verso's Super Facial Serum is, simply, a paragon in a very crowded field of retinols. It rises to the top with results that you get early in the game, it is pleasant to wear, and it looks like veritable art on a shelf (the packaging, like BRAD / Cosmetics 27 / Absolution, has taken how a skincare product can make you look and, in turn, made itself look truly lovely)!
