Recharge your skin's natural radiance with this dynamic C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum from Sunday Riley. Crafted with 15% advanced, stable vitamin C, this antioxidant formula works to target dark spots, dullness and signs of aging, revealing firmer and plumper skin.
Key Ingredients:
- Vitamin C (15% THD Ascorbate): features superior visible brightening, clarifying, and antioxidant properties; helps fight the first signs of aging caused by stress, lifestyle, sun, and pollution
- Phytosterols Complex: isolated from soybeans and containing at least 40 percent beta-sitosterol, it helps reduce the look of redness and skin sensitivity
- Saccharide Isomerate Extract: reduces the appearance of pores while reinforcing the skin's natural moisture barrier for smooth, supple texture
- Glycolic Acid: Provides mild refinement to the skin; maintains the pH of the serum for maximum vitamin C efficacy, while supporting natural cell turnover and glow of the skin
Tips: For enhanced visible brightening, follow with Good Genes, CEO Protect + Repair Cream or Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream.

Not so brightening.
I tried to like it. It smells decent, it has a creamy texture, feels great on my face, not too heavy, and it's very moisturizing. However, for me, it wasn't a brightening serum. To be fair, I was initially using a serum that was on the pricier side and decided to save a few dollars. That's when I tried Sunday Riley vitamin C serum. As I mentioned above, it had many great qualities but for me, it didn't do what it was supposed to do, it didn't brighten. It actually brought my skin back to where I started years ago, red blotches and many tones of olive color. It counteracted and undid what the pricier serum achieved . In any event, I won't be using Sunday Riley vit c serum again.

Great under makeup!!
I purchased this after having mediocre experiences with other Vitamin C serums, and then Kathleen Jennings recommended this one, and I love it. It goes on really smoothly (not sticky as so many others are) and I truly am seeing a difference in the dark spots, which was what I mainly wanted to address. I've used it for 2 weeks and am loving it! I use it every morning under makeup.

Good smell without artificial fragrance
So my primary thing about it is really just the scent and all the extra benefits and goodies that's packed into it. that being said I'm not a fan of the texture of it at all. I got a sample of this in my beautyfix box from September and well it seems like it's going to be a milky liquid when I applied to my finger, but once it touches my face it becomes a bit sticky and hard to spread. I can feel the almost lotion like remnants of it behind. I gave it another shot just to see if I still felt the same way and unfortunately I still do. My current routine consists of using DHC oil cleanse if I've worn makeup, eminence dermafoliant scrub every 2 or 3 days as needed, followed by SkinCeuticals LHA cleanser and LHA toner, and Peter Thomas Roth water drench moisturizer. I recently added into that routine from my beauty boxes the past couple months SkinCeuticals resveratrol b e and they sent me a mailer sample of hydrating B5. Even with all of those products after my cleanse my face never has a sticky tacky feeling or a heavy lotion feeling at all. I use the SkinCeuticals c e ferulic in the mornings and even though it does have a clear somewhat tacky texture when it's first applied even that dries to a soft non-stick finish. I'll probably stick with the c e ferulic even if it doesn't smell as good.

Good Vit C serum
Many vitamin C serums have a weird smell to them or are sticky - this one absorbs into my skin well, and has brightened my skin over the past 3 weeks while I've used it (I'm using a sample). I'm considering buying it once Dermstore has a sale (though I might go with the oil, which I think will be better for winter use).

Fantastic Fragrant Serum
I've been using this serum for about two years now, alternating with Good Genes and it continues to impress. The orange fragrance is pretty strong but I like it. It certainly brightens my face, I am prone to rosacea prone, and reduces the redness.

I liked this
I'm a pretty big fan in general of thin, high vitamin C moisturizers and this one fits the bill! Definitely a better texture, smell, and absorption than others I've tried though

the results were so so
For all the good reviews about this product I was expecting it to deliver better than it did. It is light and absorbs quickly. Does leave my normal skin feeling hydrated, which is great for a serum. It doesn't tingle or irritate. As for results, I did not really see any in terms of skin brightening or evening out. The quest for the right vitamin c serum continues

Broke Me Out
If you are at all prone to breakouts with Vitamin C products, steer clear. This is the worst I've broken out yet from a Vitamin C serum-some really big, long-lasting welts along my jawline. I want to use this product for the anti-aging benefits, but it makes my skin too mad. On the plus side, this serum does not have the dreaded Vitamin C "hot dog" smell like C E Ferulic and other Vitamin C serums. It smells like refreshing citrus.
