skyn ICELAND The Antidote Cooling Daily Lotion With Icelandic Kelp hydrates, detoxifies and soothes skin. White willow bark features salicylic acid to help tighten large pores while Icelandic kelp calms inflammation and instills moisture. Mint creates a cooling sensation that boosts circulation and reduces redness for a calm complexion.
After cleansing with Glacial Face Wash, pat gently onto face and throat. A slight cooling sensation is normal. For added moisture, apply Antioxidant Calming Serum prior to application of the ANTIDOTE. Avoid eye area.

So coooool...
I am a junkie for anything that gives my face or scalp a cool, mentholated tingle and this stuff does not disappoint. I love it. My only gripe is the packaging. Would love if this came in a more flexible squeeze tube instead of the glass pump bottle. I have the hardest time getting the last third out and I feel like I end up throwing away product and wasting money. Skyn, please consider adjusting this packaging.

If you're bored of your moisturizer, try this.
I'm not going to say you NEED this product, because you don't. This is for the beauty junkie that just wants to try something different, and honestly, it's more than just a gimmick. I have the most finicky, sensitive, dry, yet acne-prone skin and I found that the menthol in this actually calmed my redness and really soothes everything. The minty sensation is just fun!

Too cool for school
I like the texture of this lotion a lot - it's light and has a nice lubricity to it - but I had to stop using it on my face because of how strong the cooling sensation was. I agree with another reviewer who described it more like burning. I usually love products that are described as cooling and do not have sensitive skin, but this was a really intense sensation and lasted well beyond the initial application.

An absolute savior for rosacea and hot-flashes!
I got a sample of The Antidote in a monthly subscription box. I rationed it carefully and squeezed every drop from the tube before buying the full-sized version at Dermstore. I'm in the early stages of menopause (I'm only 42, but I guess I'm getting a head-start), and I've developed mild rosacea in addition to the uncomfortable menopause staple I like to refer to as "power surges." When either or both issues flare up, my face gets extremely hot. If I don't do anything to cool it off, it will escalate into tingling and even needle-like pain. When it gets that bad is when I'm most likely to end up with a broken capillary. Skyn Iceland has been my miracle cure! Just patting The Antidote lotion on my face and neck cools me down almost immediately. If I can then be around some air movement (an open window, the ceiling fan, etc.), the cooling relief is even better. It feels good all over the face, but the most effective places to apply it - for me, anyway - are my neck and upper lip. Sounds odd, I know, but application on those two places seems to really aid in cooling off my whole body during a power surge. As far as a daily moisturizer, it's not quite moisturizing enough for my dry skin. I generally apply a lightweight, but deeply moisturizing cream first, then apply The Antidote once that's absorbed. On no-makeup days (which is most days), I'll pump just a little onto my fingers and reapply later in the day if the need arises. I haven't tried patting it on when I'm wearing makeup, so I'm not sure what effect it would have. It's also wonderful for cooling me off right before I get into bed on warm nights. The lack of any real scent is refreshing, too. I won't be without it from now on. I just hope Skyn Iceland will consider making a version for normal to dry skin with more moisture. Then it would get a full 5 stars from me.

Best skin ever
Oh my gosh honestly I swear by this product it is so good it instantly cools the skin and gives it this radiant glow it feels so refreshing it's perfect for the morning because it wakes you up and it instantly wakes up the skin. I love it I know it's a little pricey but a little goes a long way I only use one pump a day every morning and it's the perfect amount not too much not too little

It REALLY tingles
I really wanted to love this lotion but unfortunately the cooling sensation is a little bit much for my tastes. I love the way it leaves my skin but I have really sensitive skin so the cooling sensation feels more like a burning. If your skin isn't sensitive then I definitely recommend this lotion because it's really wonderful apart form the burning and leaves my skin looking lovely.

Best moisturizer on the market for red/acne prone skin
This product is an all in one moisturizer. The only thing I wish it had was SPF, but this product is perfect in every other way. If you have acne prone, red skin like me, this product helps target both of those issues. I almost never break out anymore and my skin consistently feels refreshed and looks amazing. Especially if rosacea runs in your family, this product helps with occasional flushing.

Amazing Product
I love this product! The cooling affect makes my skin feel amazing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it does not completely moisturize my face for the day. A few days a week I need to use another moisturizer so my skin doesn't look dry.
