skyn ICELAND The Antidote Cooling Daily Lotion With Icelandic Kelp hydrates, detoxifies and soothes skin. White willow bark features salicylic acid to help tighten large pores while Icelandic kelp calms inflammation and instills moisture. Mint creates a cooling sensation that boosts circulation and reduces redness for a calm complexion.
After cleansing with Glacial Face Wash, pat gently onto face and throat. A slight cooling sensation is normal. For added moisture, apply Antioxidant Calming Serum prior to application of the ANTIDOTE. Avoid eye area.

not the greatest
I loved the cooling sensation of this lotion. The scent was fine too. It really doesn't moisturize though. The consistency is almost like a gel, rather than a lotion.

Love the cool feeling
I love this moisturizer! The cool feeling is the best part. It is a lighter moisturizer but I like that it doesn't have a heavy or greasy feeling. I like using this when my skin feels irritated or stressed.

Cool turns to a Burn
I should preface my review by saying I normally adore Skyn products, and this is the first one I have tried that was a bit of a disaster. My skin is incredibly red and sensitive, so what could be better than a cooling lotion, right? I used the Skyn ICELAND cleanser, which is a favorite of mine, and followed it with this lotion. At first the sensation was nice, especially because I'd just gotten out of a hot shower. But then I felt a mild burn. I dismissed the sensation because a handful of other products can feel that way at first, but it only took a few minutes before I left my vanity and walked around the house that not one but two people said, "What happened to your face?! It's so red!" Within about 30 minutes, my face was red and a bit puffy. So much for calming inflammation. There must be an ingredient that caused an allergic reaction, and while I am really disappointed in the results of the daily lotion, I will continue to try and purchase other products from Skyn.

Didn't work for me
I have rosacea and bought this based on descriptions and reviews that it would help calm my skin. However it dried out my skin, which made my rosacea flare up. The cooling sensation was nice, however my skin would be red after 20 minutes of application. Unfortunately, I tried it on too late past the return policy.

It Didn't Like My Skin
Sadly, this was not the right product for me. It did absolutely nothing. I applied it as directed but still saw my large pores. I did love the soothing sensation and the feel of it. I am sure it is a great product for other skin types out there and that is why I give it 3 stars.

Kinda life-changing
Normally, I'm not a fan of high priced beauty products, but I got a sample of this and seeing an immediate difference after just a few days, so I ordered a full size. I'm 50's, and hot flashing like the other reviewer below. This really lightened up my spots of broken capillaries on my cheeks, and a red streak which is a water pill side effect. I am using it only at night, because it lacks a sunscreen. A few nights a week, I might use a Retinol product under this, or an acne product (oh yes, still get acne). The gel formula isn't too much for my somewhat oily skin in summer, but may be a bit light during the dry winter. If so, I will stick it in the fridge til spring. The cooling effect is nice, I notice it is much stronger the more product I use, so I adjusted and use a little as possible. Surprising how even my skin looks in the morning. Ok,sometimes spending a little more money is worth it. :)

The right stuff
This is the most fabulous moisturizer I've ever used. I've been a fan of this product for many years because of the anti-inflammatory effects and the cool, dry finish. It smells wonderful and you can feel the cooling mint just deflating all the puffiness out of your face. Ithe moisturizer feels heavy, but it goes on light and is definitely not greasy, but after it dries your skin feels incredibly smooth and moist. The mint definitely boosts the circulation, resultng in temporary redness. I do wish the bottle was lighter. The heavy glass is a little uncomfortable. For me, this is the right stuff!!!
