Vitamins C and E release gradually throughout the day, to promote collagen production and a brighter, smoother and more luminous complexion.

Not my favorite part of my SkinMedica regimen
I recently embarked on a SkinMedica skincare regimen consisting of the cleanser and the Vitamin C Plus E during the day (and Lytera and Retinol Complex at night) to battle mild hyperpigmentation and the beginnings of fine lines and wrinkles. After 1 week of just the cleanser and Vitamin C Plus E in the a.m., my skin was incredibly dry. I highly recommend following this with a moisturizer (I later added the rejuvenating moisturizer), as this product is definitely not alone enough to tackle moisturizing needs. I see it more as a vitamin base for the moisturizer. Every time I apply it, it tingles a bit, which some may find off-putting. Also, it feels as if it's high in silicones and does not seem to penetrate but rather sits on top of my skin. Only after I apply the moisturizer do I like the texture and sheen on my face.
