It's Okay....Still Reviewing
So far, I am right in the middle on the product. My sign of a product that I like is when I reach for it. I don't reach for this as much as my other sunscreen products. I absolutely love Skin Medica, so I am willing to see how I feel about it over the course of the bottle.

I use every day
I have used this product for years. I am 72 and have great skin and not just "for my age" Sun protection and moisturizers have a lot to do with that over many many years. I use Skin Medica Total Defense every day as part of my routine. When I am in the sun as when fishing in the Gulf of Mexico off Florida coast, I use it frequently and also have the higher SPF for those occasions. This product smooths easily, no pull and blends perfectly into my skin. I use it after HA5 and before my Foundation if I am wearing foundation that day.

Great product but I prefer the Essential Defense SPF
I decided to try this because I'd gone through 4 bottles of the SkinMedica Essential Defense SPF (tinted), which was the SPF that converted me to wearing daily sunscreen. Given this more specific "anti-aging" formula I figured it would be a fancier version of what I already loved. Now that I've gone through most of the bottle, my verdict is that it's...okay. It's much thicker and doesn't play as nice with my skincare as the Essential Defense does. If I apply it too soon after my moisturizer it clumps up. Since it's thicker I also feel its presence on my face a little more than the Essential Defense. I'm about to be 30 years old, so maybe my skin isn't mature enough to appreciate this formula, but I didn't really notice any skin benefits. Don’t get me wrong, this is an incredible product (it should be for the price) but it isn't my favorite SkinMedica SPF.

This is my go to sun screen
I really do love this product. Sometimes I skip my moisturizer and just wear this and it keeps my skin hydrated. I use this product in a higher SPF as well when I'll be outside for longer periods and pump some into a sample type contain and take it with me so I can reapply as needed.

I love this thing
Been using this for years, for all my oily skin girls this keeps that oil at bay. So much so the skin gets a bit dry. But I prefer that over the greaseball skin I have to deal with. I recently wanted to quit this because it's so expensive. So I did my research on EWG+Makeup Alley+Beautypedia and bought the Cerave light SPF but my skin is so oily I have to blot 5 times a day (not exaggerating). With this stuff I don't even have to blot. The downside besides the dryness? This isn't highly reviewed on EWG. I can't live without it though. Ugh.
