Powered by lactic acid, this scar gel gently brightens and exfoliates to encourage cell renewal while olive oil improves tone and elasticity. Nourishing centella asiatica aids in alleviating wounds while antioxidant-enriched oleuropein fights free radicals.

Too early to tell, but seems promising
I am using this on a 2 1/2-month-old shave biopsy scar on my cheek. I usually keep a silicone patch on it, but I have started using this gel occasionally when I let the area breathe and plan to switch to gel only in a few weeks after I hit the 3-month mark. The tube is tiny, but you only need a very small amount so it will last a long time. The scent is slightly pungent, but not offensive. Obviously, with scar reduction many factors come into play. Time and consistency of application will help. My scar is on a really prominent area and concealer does not help right now, so it was important for me to intervene early to reduce its visibility with the various tools my dermatologist recommended - I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I would not recommend this for use on a large area of your skin (constant use of a silicone patch or gel may work better), but for a smallish facial scar like mine it wouldn't hurt to try.

I had reconstructive breast surgery 10 months ago leaving me with a scar around my nipples, down the front of my breasts and underneath both breasts. My surgeon said that no cream on the market really works to reduce the look of scarring and told me to stick to pure vitamin E oil which I did for about 5 months. It did help soften the scars. It was so messy that I decided to try Derma E scar gel for about 5 months. I can not say it helped a lot or really did much but I was religious about it. I came to repurchase Derma E and it was out of stock so I decided to give this a try even though the cost/ ratio of product received was expensive. Well it was the best decision I have made in reference to products to try. I have only been using it for 2 1/2 weeks on my pink scars and they have lightened at least 2 shades in the short time. I can not believe it. It is worth every penny. The scars under my breast are raised and I can not say it has helped with that in this short time but I will continue to use this and hopefully it will. (generally it takes months for cell turnover so they say) As far as the amount you receive for the cost, it looks like a tube of chapstick. So if you have a small scar this will last you a long time. My scar area is large and this size will probably last 3 weeks using 2x a day. I will repurchased larger bottle knowing I have the chance to get good results. (did not want to invest all that $ in the big bottle without trying it first). Hope this helps and hope you get good results!

I used this in combination with a Murad product and wow. I had a hole punch done on my forehead by a dermatologist a few months ago and I thought the scar would never go away.
