Powered by lactic acid, this scar gel gently brightens and exfoliates to encourage cell renewal while olive oil improves tone and elasticity. Scar Recovery Gel
I had laparoscopic surgery a little over four months ago, and have been using this scar gel fairly religiously ever since on two incisions. One incision is BARELY noticeable anymore unless you're looking for it, and the other is also extremely diminished. I didn't know what to expect when I decided to try this, but because I love other SkinMedica products I figured I'd invest in a brand I already trusted. Very happy with the results and will keep using for a little while, although I'm honestly not sure how much better my scars could look!

Difference within 2 weeks
Removed a large mole from the side of my nose and the plastic surgeon said the only scar gel worth a darn is this one. I forgot about it but recently remembered - 5 months later. I have been using for about 3 weeks now and can definitely see a smoothing, blending/ less color differences with the surrounding skin. I'll keep using and hope that it will be totally smooth in a few more weeks.

i'm using it, but i cannot say its great. For $100 don't expect much difference. IPL or microneedling prob more worth your money for what this does. I do not understand the great reviews.

Too soon to tell
Too soon to tell but this product has definitely prevented my scars from getting any worse. I am about 10 weeks post op and started using this gel about 4 or 5 weeks post op (after I got frustrated with Embrace scar sheets, kept falling off!). My doctor recommended using this product for about a year after surgery. I hope that it continues to keep my scars flat and that it helps to fade them over time.

Does what it says
My first tube of Scar Recovery Gel was given to me by my doctor following my surgery. It says a lot when a doctor believes in a product! I had to wait until my open wounds closed and then I started applying as directed. I'm only 8 weeks post-up and the scars are already fading and smooth with no ropiness at all. The incision lines have gone from red to pink. I just purchased another tube to use once my first runs out. I will continue to use until my scars fade completely. I have no doubt that they will!

Extremely effective and fast-acting
I've had red and slightly raised scars from surgery 5 years ago. I've tried countless gels, creams, and serums, which have helped a little, but I'd pretty much given up on any further improvement.
