SkinMedica's Age Defense Retinol Complex 1.0 enhances the skin's appearance to promote a smoother, rejuvenated complexion. Formulated for skin types pre-conditioned to retinol treatments, it minimizes the appearance of age spots and wrinkles. It also improves elasticity and works effectively to visibly reduce acne scars. With continued use, faster cell renewal is encouraged.

Apply a single pump to face in the evening. If you have never used a retinol product before, begin by limiting use to twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. Mild redness, peeling and irritation is expected when using this product. Use daily sun protection with SPF 20 or higher during use of this product. Avoid getting in eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.

I have been using this product for a couple weeks. I began once a week and recently increased to twice this week. During the "retinol uglies" phase I decided to not wear makeup and keep my skin moisturized with Cetaphil body moisturizer 3 times a day. (My face was a little shiny after lunch everyday) I have experienced some dry patches and redness, but know if I stick with it it will all be worth it! I use the skinmedica 0.5 which I received as a bonus product with this around my eyes.

Never received product
Like product . Ordered 3 weeks ago. Received email with confirmation and tracking details. Eight days later still no product. Called to inquire about it and was told they were moving storage areas and it would be shipped shortly and because of the delay they would discount it for me. As of today still no product and no response to email follow up. First and last time using this company

Great product but harsh
I would not start at this level. It can be deceptive, you can use it for two days and be fine and then suddenly your skin is red all over and is EXTREMELY sensitive. It takes a while to come back from this, so take some time to put some thought into how you are going to start with this. The product is amazing and really does what it claims. I would just recommend started at .25, stay at that for two weeks, then do one night with .5 and wait and do another three days with .25 ext. Just remember, be smart about it.

Great product, use carefully
My skin can handle a lot. The SkinMedica 0.5 Retinol did not really do much, so I bought the 1.0. Although I can use it repeated nights, I have to be careful and take notice when my skin starts to get dry or irritated, especially in the winter. Overall a very good product. It takes awhile for me to notice results, which for me is on my melasma. I will not see a difference for awhile, and then will notice that another small section of the hyper pigmented skin has been lightened. When the pump will not dispense any more product, unscrew the cap and you will find more goodness left in there!
