SkinMedica's Age Defense Retinol Complex .25 is formulated to renew the skin's tone and texture without irritating the skin. Retinol helps combat the signs of premature aging while magnolia bark extract soothes inflammation. Ideal for use twice a week to build tolerance to formula.

Apply in the evening after cleansing and toning and before applying your moisturizer. If a retinol product has never been used before, begin twice a week 2-3 days apart, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, and then advancing to each evening or as tolerated. Apply to the entire face. Avoid getting in eyes. If contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water.
Caution: Do not use if you are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant. Mild redness, peeling and irritation are expected when using this product. Use daily sun protection with SPF 30 or higher and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week following discontinuation.

Great starter retinol
I was initially scared to try retinol, but after seeing wrinkles on my face, I had to start somewhere. I really had to ease into using it. The first time I applied the cream, it went on easily. 2 days later, my skin started peeling. I wasn't able to use it for the next 10 days (until it fully recovered)!. After using it for about a month and a half, I've already see results!. I've applied it about 5-6 times since and my skin is slowly getting use to it. Can't wait until I could move up to applying daily.

I was initially very nervous about using the.25 Retinol Complex since I have such sensitive skin. ButI really wanted to start using a retinol in my skin care. Well was I ever pleasantly surprised. I have used this product 3 times now spaced 3 days apart following with a rich moisturizer and have had no irritation whatsoever! No redness burning stinging or flaking!
