Not Impressed

This has a huge price tag, and I do not see the value. It's very thick, and didn't do anything for the hydration on my face. I just received my Beautyfix, and the sample is already almost gone.

Good Product

Received a very small sample. Wish this company would send bigger samples. What I tried seemed very very hydrating. Very pricey.

Took 5+ years off my face.

I received this as a sample after reaching Gold status from Brilliant Distinctions, and I'm ordering the full size now. As a 10-year (now former) tanning bed user, I saw a pretty steep drop in my skin quality at 25 years old. I started Botox, which took away my beginning creases, but even still at just 28, my skin was missing something it had before. I chalked it up to natural volume loss and was looking into expensive laser treatments and fillers to combat the overall withered look and red, flaky cheeks. I've tried a huge range of products from drugstore to high end and nothing has worked. At first look this didn't seem special to me - so many products have HA, and "5 types" sounds like either a gimmick or overkill. But WOW. Even on the first day, I couldn't believe how much younger I looked (I know, dramatic coming from a 28 year old. But I had my 20-year-old glow back!). I'd probably attribute the immediate change to the dimethicone - luckily I'm not sensitive to it, because it was a fantastic primer for my makeup. My tinted moisturizer now lasts all day and my pores are so much less obvious. But by the end of the week my cheeks looked supple and smooth and my eyes brighter. I keep thinking my highlighter is on point and then remembering I don't even use it. As a biochemist I wanted to write this product off as an overpriced, unremarkable silicone primer with some HA. I told myself it was probably just a good skin week due to hormones. But then a friend raved to me about "some HA thingy" her derm gave her and this was it! So I've exhausted my excuses not to get this and can't talk myself out of it. It's just great. Can't live without it.

Overpriced!!

The sample was okay, but when I went to investigate the full size I was absolutely flabbergasted !!

Not what I expected for the price

It reminded me of another overpriced "silky gel" sold at the mall. Feels like a primer not luxe skincare.

meh for the price

I don't know about this product. It feels 'good' going on, probably because the leading ingredients are dimethicone, but my facialist did notice an increase in whiteheads which she said was probably attributed to this product. In any case, since this was so expensive I am trying to use it up--but now I apply it in the morning under my foundation as a base instead of putting it on at night. Also, it isn't crazy hydrating. At this price I will not be repurchasing.

Definite results, but such a steep price

There are so many products out there with hyaluronic and vitamin E that don't cost this much. I like it, I saw results, but I can't justify the price tag when I have other options that are easier on my wallet.

Disappointed

I was very glad Dermstore offered a sample of this product with another order I made. Many people seem to love the HA5, but I really did not like it. The silicone content in it seems very high-so much so that it feels waxy to me. I don't even like to use it as a hand cream. I've tried other SkinMedica products and use some regularly. For instance, I love their Retinol 1.0, Total Defense sunblock and TNS Eye Illuminating cream. This one surprised me. I think that if you have very dry skin and want to see fine lines transiently filled in with waxy silicone, this would be a good product for you. I actually preferred their basic hyaluronic acid complex. I can't judge this product on its long-term results with regard to its claim that it causes your skin to produce more of its own hydration. The consistency and finish were so unpleasant for me that I would not want to use it for long enough to see those potential results. So the rating I gave is based solely on the feel and finish of the product.

You'll Get Results!

I noticed a subtle difference with only using the sample I received in a BeautyFix box.
