My Go-To SPF
I've tried a TON of SPF products on my face. I would compare this to EltaMD's UV Clear, but I like this SkinMedica one better. It still controls oil thanks to the niacinamide, but it doesn't have lactic acid and so my sensitive skin can handle it better. I do have to apply a layer of SkinMedica HA5 underneath this as my skin has a love/hate relationship with niacinamide (loves the oil control and anti-pigmentation benefits, but can become irritated easily). Once I figured out how to use this without irritation, it turned into my HG SPF. Some other things to note about my skin: I strictly use fungal acne safe products (same goes for my hair products), I use adapalane (Differin gel) and azelaic acid (Finacea 15% gel).

Love this sunscreen. I put their moisturizer on first then the sunscreen. Works wonders. Not streaky at all and really feels like great coverage. Nice consistency of product. Wish it came in a bigger size so I wasn't always buying more!

Wonderful daily spf for face and neck
This is the spf I'd like to reach for every day....if it was not quite so expensive. It feels like a light gel-lotion. While it feels practically weightless, when applied generously in a more humid climate, it does leave a shine. However, this shine is easy to cut down with a small amount of powder or matte primer over top. It also does leave a slight white cast, but it's a faint one. Not nearly as noticeable as most other sunscreens with zinc oxide (I have medium toned skin). On my skin, a small amount of tinted mattifying primer over top corrects the white cast and shine At the end of the day, my skin feels pretty great after wearing this all day. Not irritated, not dehydrated and tight, and not excessively greasy. And after several days in a row, no extra clogged pores or pimples.

Great Product
This formula seems very similar to the EltaMD one, which has been one of my favorites for the last year or so. I thought I would give SkinMedica one a try since I've loved some of their other skincare products and serums. I haven't been disappointed. It doesn't pill up and goes on well under my foundation (I don't wear heavy makeup though) and has a nice matte finish similar to the EltaMD one. So far, so good!

great sun block, but...
I do love this product in that it has SPF 47 protection and absolutely disappears on my skin leaving no white film as all other sunblocks do and it goes on smoothly. The downside is a definite unpleasant chemical smell that persists for a while. I'm not sure I would order this product again unless the manufacturer can reformulate to eliminate the smell. I prefer products with no odor or fragrance at all. I would like to see minimal and biodegradable packaging on ALL products that I use.
