Sheer and lightweight, this daily facial sunscreen is specially formulated for oily skin and goes on smooth shielding your skin from damaging UVA and UVB rays.

Great everyday face sunscreen
Priced and sized fairly the SkinMedica essential defense is easily absorbed and doesn’t leave a cast. I can layer make up over it and there is no piling.

Sunscreen for dark skin
Hi I’m on a hunt for a sunscreen that doesn’t leave a cast on my dark skin but that provides good sun protection. This was one of the ones I have in my rotation. I do find that if it’s not the white cast it can be oily on my already oily skin.

Great for Sweaty Faces
It's difficult to find a good sunscreen that both lasts and doesn't start sweating into my eyes causing that icky burning sensation. This is a great everyday sunscreen. Goes great under makeup or makeup Free. I have repurchased it many times. I like it slightly better than elta md clear , which is the other one I use consistently. They are both really good, this one chemical and Elta md mineral of course. It goes ion very smooth but not silicone full if that makes sense. Doesn’t sting the eyes.

Greasy, whitecast, and breakouts!
I loved SkinMedica's tinted 32 SPF but I felt that I needed a higher SPF which is why I decided to try this out when I ran out of my 32 SPF. I was hopeful based on glowing reviews, but unfortunately it didn't work out. I have an olive skin tone and this absolutely leaves a whitecast...I have to spend a solid 5 minutes continuously rubbing it into my skin in order to get rid of the whitecast. It's also much greasier than the 32 SFP which is unfortunate because combined with moisturizer, my face just looks SO wet and greasy. I could overlook all those things, but what I couldn't deal with is the millions of closed comedones and whiteheads that it caused in the areas I applied it- my face, neck, and chest. I normally don't have sensitive skin (I took accutane for cystic acne in 2020 and haven't had any issues since) and the acne only developed as soon as I started using this product. I stopped using about a week ago and my acne cleared up almost immediately, Really sad this didn't work out - I wish SkinMedica could make a higher SPF for their tinted sunscreen!
