This product is hands down the best product I've used to help clear up my adult acne. I've seen an instant difference over night. Meh...
This product leaves a very tacky feel and is quite irritating and too astringent if you have any active acne. I did see some brightening over a few weeks but the application and texture of the product were too unpleasant for me to ever purchase this again at such a hefty price tag. If you have extremely oily skin an it can take a beating you may love this.

This actually did help reduce the oil that was ever present on my skin. It seems to help my pores look a little smaller cause and overall I am happy with the purchase!

perfect product
I was a huge fan of the C E Ferulic Acid, which I've used for years with a combo of other serums to target sometimes oily and acne prone skin. this is the perfect solution. the serum is a little tacky going on but I've noticed a really decrease in acne breakouts since switching to this formula.

Don’t apply too much
I am oily in the summer bc the weather is very humid, so I have to be careful with products. Since this is supp to be for oily skin, I made the mistake of putting a lot on - the more the better to control the oil? No! Too much leaves you sticky, tacky, and oily!

Good for acne prone skin
I got a deluxe sample of this with one of my orders last month and I found it more useful than I thought I would. I usually use their original C Ferulic Acid serum but I was breaking out (hormonal acne around that time of the month) and thought I would try this. It seemed to help with acne, didn't clear up my skin 100% but it definitely helped. But I also felt that my combo skin needed more moisturizer. People with oilier, more acne prone skin will probably love it. The CF version works well enough for me so I'll probably stick with that but if you have the money and your skin sometimes breaks out having this on standby wouldn't hurt.

Work for large pores
Overall, if you have congested combo skin this may be the magic serum you need. I have large pores and this has helped shrink the appearance and reduce oiliness. I also have skin texture issues I feel like this has helped smooth out those areas. I felt like my face was going to have a few small blemishes and I switched from the other SkinCeuticals serum I usually use to this and it prevented any blemishes from occurring. I use the daily moisturizer on top, then tinted moisturizer and I think my skin looks great!

Made me break out
I've been a loyal Skinceuticals user for years. I have very oily, acne prone skin and have managed to keep it clear using this brand during the day and Jan Marini at night. CE Ferulic has been my holy grail serum and I was excited to see Silymarin. Unfortunately, my skin broke out twice. The first time, I got 3 huge pimples between my eyebrows. I gave it a break and my skin recovered. I tried it again a few weeks later and my entire face, especially the cheek area, has broken out with small pimples, which hasn't happened to me in forever. Sadly I am going to discontinue using this. Luckily I've only been using a sample size.

New Favorite Product
I was on the fence about buying because it's expensive and there were some reviews saying it wasn't good for sensitive skin. I have very sensitive and acne prone skin and this has been a blessing. In the past month and a half I've been using it daily and I have seen a noticeable decrease in breakouts and less oil production. If like me, you're on the fence, I would make the splurge.
