Really works
I’ve been skeptical about vitamin C serums until I started using this one. This is does not break me out or make me shiny/ oily looking. It really does help reduce breakouts and does immediately increase radiance. There is some stickiness, but this resolves once I apply my moisturizer on top. Love love this. So worth the $$

I have been using this product over 2 months after being told this was better for combination skin than the CE Ferulic. I have had more breakouts and imperfections since using. Today I ordered my CE Ferulic and cannot wait for it to arrive!

Best Vitamin C serum for oily skin
I've got SUPER oily skin that has occasional breakouts along my jawline. I have tried many different Vit C serums, but most of them make me more oily or just don't absorb in my skin well. I had all but given up on getting a vit C serum, which is a shame since it is such a core part of any good skin routine. I initially received a sample of the Silymarin serum and was really impressed with how well it absorbed, it wasn't tacky and it sunk right in. Fabulous. What was better was that I noticed the hyperpigmentation from acne scars started to fade after 2-3 weeks of using this. I am also breaking out less frequently, I normally get a pimple or 2 every 7-10 days. I've probably had 2 in the last month! My husband has noticed that my skin is brighter, which is incredibly impressive. I don't know if this is actually minimizing my oil production, I'm in Texas in August so the heat and humidity affect my skin dramatically and it is at its worst right now, however the serum definitely isn't making my oil level worse. I previously had been using the phyloretin serum, and while I think that was nice, it definitely made me a bit more "tacky" earlier in the day compared to the silymarin. I think its important for customers to realize that this serum is NOT meant to treat acne, so the reviews that are taking points off for the lack of effect on their acne is unfair.

Amazing for acneic skin
After breaking out from using CE Ferulic, I decided to give the serum a try as it was touted that it would be better for acne prone skin. The reviews were right! I have been dealing with breakouts due to mask use, and I usually do break out during the summer months a little more often due to the heat and having excess oil in some parts of my face, and the serum has really helped to calm all of the excess oiliness and breakouts down significantly. Salicylic acid is wonderful for my type of skin, and coupled with vitamin C which this serum has, all I do afterwards is apply a light moisturizer and SPF and I’m good to go. I’ve already purchased and haven’t been using a bottle after I finished the free sample that was sent to me. Will buy again.
