Not what I expected
I was hoping for a daily moisturizer with SPF similar to a Skinmedica product I used to use. This is not it. This product is very thin, which not only makes me feel like I need another moisturizer in addition, but it's also difficult to apply.

Better for Body Than Face
I purchased this thinking it would be similar to the sheer, tinted SPF in the same line and once I realized this wasn't the right match I had thrown out the box and was unable to return it. The consistency is thicker and the white color may affect your complexion even underneath makeup. I also noticed that this peels when applying makeup. I now only use it on my arms and legs in the sun. Still there is bit of a white residue. The Tinted Sheer Physical UV Defense is totally different and easier to wear.

Been using it for six years - the only that I will use
I loved this tinted sun block since the first time I used it six years ago and have been using it ever since. My main concern which others I've used previously was that they were thick, oily, and white. I love that this one is sheer and tinted. It's light and evens out my skin, so much that I even use it as a CC/BB cream. I did recommend this to my sister, who has oily and sensitive skin. She did not like it because it made her skin more oily.

Expected a better product
The texture is too greasy and the color separates out of the bottle if I don't remember to shake it up a lot. I have fair skin and it is too brown for me. For the price I expect a better feeling product. I always use sunscreen and have tried many over the years. If I don't use sunscreen, no doubt I will burn. This does protect me from getting burned.

Only sunscreen that I will use

Good but smelly...
Finally a sunscreen that does not leave my face feeling greasy. I left off a start because it has a horrible smell when your first apply it. It does dissipate after a while. Wish this one tinted. That would make it even better.

White cast :/
[Sheer Physical UV Defense]: It didn't quite "mattify" my oily skin and left a very noticeable white cast. I do not - and will not - wear foundation so there's nothing to cover up the cast. Great big bag of nope... I'm fairly pale but the white cast is best suited for naked mole rats. Also...it m-i-g-h-t be making my face break out. Too many variables but since using it...I've got small whiteheads forming. (Also noticed the same thing when using another mineral sunscreen - a sheer spray. No tint. Very similar consistency.) [other SC product] : I purchased the "Fusion" version thinking it was for oily skin. Ok - so, it was ever so very slightly shiny-slick looking on my oily skin - but the tint was nice - and very much welcome. Get the Physical Fusion version. Me: female, early 40s, oily skin, severe melasma, no wrinkles.

A good product that, sadly, doesn't really work for me
This sunscreen provides very good sun protection: I wore it while walking around all day in the blazing Mediterranean sun, and even though it's not marketed as water-resistant, I didn't burn despite sweating profusely all day. It doesn't sting and dries to a matte finish. However, after a few hours, on me this either makes my skin incredibly dry and flaky, or it crumbles into a layer of powdery granules all over my face that feel like the little beads in exfoliating scrubs when I take it off with cleanser. My skin tends to be dehydrated, so I think this may just be a case of bad fit. Those with moist, oily skin will probably love this.
