In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.
As a precaution, retinol face creams should not be used by pregnant women or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, always consult a physician.

The Best Retinol Product Out There!
This product is great! Does not irratate at all, I have no peeling, no redness. I apply at night before bedtime. Will purchase again! The only complaint is the pump like other reviewers. The trick I found is to keep pumping. I am sure they will fix this in time.

Great Product- ONLY IF the Pump Works
This product really works. It exfoliates, and takes your dead skin away. It also keeps your skin matte, which is nice. However, the pump only works some of the time. You have to pump it about 100x before a little bit comes out. Very frustrating. If the pump worked, it would be a perfect product. The amount of retinol is very high, so you do see results almost immediately. My skin has never felt so soft, or so smooth. I'm also noticing many less breakouts!!!

Great Product for a Multitude of Skin Problems
I began using retinol about 2 1/2 months ago, and I am 43 years old. My skin was uneven, had sun spots, and redness on my nose and chin. I started with the Retinol .5% to get use to retinol, and it was a wise decision. I saw improvement in my skin tone first and then sun spots began to fade. I had minimal peeling with this concentration of retinol. After a month, I began using the 1%, and then everthing started to really improve. My skintone is almost completely even after 6 weeks of use. I did experience quite a bit of flaky skin, but I did not mind since I was getting results. I made sure to use a moisturizer twice daily and that did help. I would highly recommend this product, and I will definitely purchase again.

Intensive, but works!
First of all, I'd like to say that I bought this to treat my persistent hormonal acne. I have PCOS, and one of its "lovely" symptoms is persistent acne. Previously, I was using Obagi benzoyl peroxide serum, which was great, but always dried my skin and left me with deep under the skin cystic type acne. I read online that benzoyl peroxide can do that and actually age the skin, so I wanted to try SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 Cream. The first 2 weeks were awful, which I expected from what retinol can do. I felt like my skin was shedding. More pimples came up and I looked worse than before, but I think my skin was purging all the bad stuff out. On week three, all the flaky-ness is gone. My skin is smooth now, and still healing. The discoloration of the past acne are slowly going away and so far I'm happy at the end of week 3 and going on week 4!

Great complexion smoother
This a great product for people who, like me, are battling acne and wrinkles at the same time. It removes that top layer of skin which makes my skin look fresher and younger, and keeps my pores from getting too clogged which is helping a lot with the acne. It is a great all around product! I've used Retin-A in the past and I like this a lot better because it is not as drying/irritating.
