In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.

Intensive, but works!
First of all, I'd like to say that I bought this to treat my persistent hormonal acne. I have PCOS, and one of its "lovely" symptoms is persistent acne. Previously, I was using Obagi benzoyl peroxide serum, which was great, but always dried my skin and left me with deep under the skin cystic type acne. I read online that benzoyl peroxide can do that and actually age the skin, so I wanted to try SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 Cream. The first 2 weeks were awful, which I expected from what retinol can do. I felt like my skin was shedding. More pimples came up and I looked worse than before, but I think my skin was purging all the bad stuff out. On week three, all the flaky-ness is gone. My skin is smooth now, and still healing. The discoloration of the past acne are slowly going away and so far I'm happy at the end of week 3 and going on week 4!

It's drying and expensive. I would have preferred it came in a tube instead of a tiny little pump. Keep it far away from the eye area - it can really creap up there and dry out your under eye area.

This a great product for people who, like me, are battling acne and wrinkles at the same time. It removes that top layer of skin which makes my skin look fresher and younger, and keeps my pores from getting too clogged which is helping a lot with the acne. It is a great all around product! Put your best face forward
I have purchased SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 night cream twice. All I can say, is I love it! I previously used Line Eraser by L'Oreal and ROC nighttime. They both work okay, but SkinCeuticals is far better. If you've not used a retinol product before, be careful. You will really notice the immediate effects. Best of all, it only takes a little bit to achieve big results. I will definitely purchase this product again. The only negative aspect to this product is its difficulty in getting it out of its container.
