In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.
As a precaution, retinol face creams should not be used by pregnant women or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, always consult a physician.

I've been using this cream for about a month and really like it. The texture is very nice and I've had little trouble with over-drying as with other retinol creams. I only use this at night, but this cream definitely has an immediate smoothing effect and could be used during the day, too (just don't forget to use an SPF with it!). The downside of this product, as others have mentioned, is the pump; it works, but barely. Seems like this should be an easy thing to fix...

Great skincare product to minimize wrinkles
I love this product. Unlike many other reviewers, I was lucky enough to get a bottle with a good dispenser. I started with the 0.5 strength and moved up to the 1.0 strength. I think it helped to start with the lower strength because I didn't experience any side effects using the stronger one. I noticed a difference within a week or so in my skin tone. I have minimal wrinkles, but I did notice a slight change in appearance....will definitely use this product as a staple in my skincare routine!

i've been using skinceuticals retinol 1.0 for 5 days now (every day - previously used PTR night serum, so perhaps my skin is a little more conditioned to retinol) to treat hyperpigmentation left by persistent hormonal acne. i'm blown away by the results - my acne scars - which tend to be a deep red/brown color on my olive skin have already faded and the cystic acne on my chin and cheeks heals within a day. my skin looks so fresh and clear and i can't wait to see the long term results. i highly recommend this product to anyone dealing with uneven skin tone, acne and scarring - its worth the price to not have to deal with these issues anymore.

Go to night-time product for wrinkles
I trust Retinol 1.0 strength and it's capabilities for reducing the look of lines and wrinkles... At least, on my face. As a "mature" woman, change is not blaringly noticeable but... When there happens to be some time that I'm not using it (eg ran out of product, trying another brand of Retinol), my face doesn't have the same improved look. Seems like a small amount in the container but a little goes a long way, if used as directed.
