In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. Good Retinol Product
It is a great product. It was harsh for my sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin I would purchase the 0.5 cream first and work your way up to the 1.0 strength. The product does work good and would purchase again.

A must-have product
I use SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 to keep my mature yet oily skin "unplugged" and refined. It exfoliates better than any product I have ever used. The skin does get flaky but is replaced with a smoother, more even-toned complexion. To keep the flaking issue manageable, I only use the cream 2 or 3 times a week. Sunscreen is a must when using this.

I also use prescription rentinol product, but this works at least as well if not better. I re-bought early so I don't run out of this product.

Really works!
The SkinCeuticals retinol 1.0 really works. I have tried everything. I am an esthetician and look at my skin under a mag-light. My pours have become smaller and the worst part of my skin has been my neck sagging and this is the only product that has changed the sagging it is much tighter. I am now a lifer for this product.

Awesome product!
After spending a ton of money on department store products that don't do what they say, I found this product. I have fair skin and red hair. Also I used to have oily skin that got only an occasional zit with large pores. This stuff has transformed my skin but it did not come easily. You have to follow the instructions and be prepared to struggle through the transitional phase or don't bother. This is not a product that will feel luxurious but it will work. I started out with the .5 as suggested and used that for a few weeks then was able to move to the 1% but phased it into my program. Even though I used a different over the counter retinal product, I had to start as though I had not used it before. You are going to be tempted to exfoliate your skin but do not try this unless you want lobster face and to have to take a few days off your retinal program. Also, make sure that any lotion you use after application (apply 30 min after as instructions state) or the next day does not contain an AHA (find a lotion w/absolutely no anti-aging stuff in it.) The product that I used to use had it in there and I wasn't aware of it until I tried to pair it with this product. You will def want to add an EltaMD Intense Moisturizer, and either (I have both) an EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46 (additional help with dark spots and is easy to layer but if you're dry then add lotion first and then apply this) or Elta MD Moisturizing Facial Sunscreen SPF 30+. All of these are found on Dermstore and I had problems finding a good moisturizer in the stores that did not contain perfumes, anti-aging stuff, or other things that will make your skin feel extremely sensitive. Even if you're not sensitive before this, you will be when you start this program so shop for a fragrance free cleanser for dry skin. Be prepared to tough out your first few weeks but do plan ahead with the right moisturizer and sunscreen. If you don't want to bother with using sunscreen like crazy then don't bother with this product because your sun damage will get worse than if you never used it. This product will make your skin more susceptible to damage and do not forget that fluorescent lighting that is used in most gyms and businesses does have up to 50% the UVA as the sun. So do wear sunscreen when indoors or at night if you're going to be by a sunny window or under a fluorescent light. Thanks for reading this long post but I think it would have made things easier for me if I knew this info before I started. I use it all over my face but not on my eyelids. I do use it around my eyes and have never had issues but I never got it too close. Redness caused by the use of this product will, of course, not be permanent.

The best retinol I've used
I will definitely be re-purchasing this for a long time to come. This is my holy grail cream, and it completely transformed my skin. Highly, highly recommend it - but start with the .5 before moving up to 1.0, because your skin will peel and react badly if you go straight for the 1.0

Good product!!
Best retinol product I have used to date however it is drying so I recommend a good moisturizer. It does refine the skin and minimize pores. The price is right and I would purchase again.

SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0
I'll continue to use SkinCeuticals Retinol because I have cystic acne and it seems to be helping it a bit. I like the feel of my skin after I've used it.

The best retinol night cream
I live SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 Night Cream because I have very sensitive skin and the 1.0 does not make my skin red and irritated. It does just what it advertises: it reduces wrinkles and enlarged pores and makes your skin soft.
