In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.
As a precaution, retinol face creams should not be used by pregnant women or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, always consult a physician.

Review from a 78 year old white female with combination skin. No problems with redness, peeling, etc. After 2 weeks use wrinkles are still visible though less pronounced - I don't expect the wrinkles to completely disappear anyway!

Average retinol
I thought I would try something non prescriptive as I'm now getting back into Retin A again. I continue to use this product but I feel like it only exfoliates one side of my face and not the entire face. When you use retin a, you should get dry flaky skin all over to show it's working. This also leaves a strange red patch everytime I use it. It goes away and I would be willing to put up with it if I saw good exfoliation but I'm still not that impressed with this product.

The product does a fabulous job making my skin years younger. I've been using it about a year now and it really makes a huge difference in skin texture. I notice a lot of wrinkles are barley visible since I've been using the product. I just love it. I started with the 0.5% strength and worked up to the 1% cream.

It is a great product. It was harsh for my sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin I would purchase the 0.5 cream first and work your way up to the 1.0 strength. The product does work good and would purchase again.

I use SkinCeuticals Retinol 1.0 to keep my mature yet oily skin "unplugged" and refined. It exfoliates better than any product I have ever used. The skin does get flaky but is replaced with a smoother, more even-toned complexion. To keep the flaking issue manageable, I only use the cream 2 or 3 times a week. Sunscreen is a must when using this.

The SkinCeuticals retinol 1.0 really works. I have tried everything. I am an esthetician and look at my skin under a mag-light.
