In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.
As a precaution, retinol face creams should not be used by pregnant women or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, always consult a physician.

I've been using prescription retinol creams and acne medications for 8+ years, and I thought I would give this a try during a 30% off promo code offer. Unfortunately I am uninsured and can't afford acne medications out of pocket right now. This is MORE potent than the strongest concentrated prescription creams I have tried. The first 4-5 days I didn't notice any drying or peeling and was really disappointed and thought maybe me skin was just immune so of course I over applied, but then it hit me like a brick wall. Not upset by the peeling, because my small acne scars and icebox scars are fading, they're almost blurred I can't believe it. Unscented, dries so a matte finish! This is the strongest retinol I have ever used and after a couple days of using it my skin felt sunburned and very dry. I cut back to every third day until the dry skin came off and skin wasn't so sensitive. Dark spots have faded significantly and fine lines around eyes are much smooter.

Effective but harsher for sensitive skin types
It's a well-known fact that retinol is supposed to be drying and irritating as your skin acclimates to it, but the 1% strength was a bit too overwhelming for my skin, which has been extra-sensitive as of late. Even when I reduced the frequency of application, my face stung and burn for several days following. With that said, I think this has more to do with my face than the product because I can tell that it works. It glides on smooth and creamy and makes my face feel soft and even right after I put it on. I say if your skin can take it, try it!
