In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.
As a precaution, retinol face creams should not be used by pregnant women or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, always consult a physician.

Wonderful Product!
I ordered this 1.0 Maximum Strength right from the start and did not start with he 0.5. This has greatly improved my skin texture and appearance. I use it nightly, sparingly and the tube has lasted me over three months now and I will not have to re-order for another several months yet. It has also improved on the frequency and number of breakouts I have, even at my age! I love this product and would recommend it to anyone needing the factors for which this is intended, especially those of us in our 60's! My philosophy is "Age is just a number and mine is unlisted". I do not tell people my age but everyone thinks I am at least 10 years younger than I am. Not too shabby!

Great retinol product!
I'm in my late 20s, have acne scarring, hormonal breakouts, sensitive skin, some hyper pigmentation, and some wrinkles setting in. I've used this retinol product for about 6 weeks and am very pleased with the results. So far, my pores are smaller, breakouts are almost non existent at this point, and my skin feels so much smoother than before. I have really sensitive skin, but haven't experienced anything beyond the typical irritation that occurs when you begin using retinol (peeling, redness, breakouts) that lasts a few weeks. This is my favorite retinol product that I've ever used including prescriptions like tazorac. I'm pretty much going to be using this product for life at this point. I highly recommend this product. Just a couple of tips though, I've tried to use other acne products in conjunction with this and my skin hasn't tolerated them well. I stick to cerave products for face wash and moisturizer at this point, but am on the hunt for a richer night moisturizer . This product, like all retinol, will dry out your skin.

Best ever!
I have been using this product for a little over a year now. It definitely took a while to see good results, but it was well worth the wait. I swear my skin looks better now than it did when I was 20...which was a long time ago. When I first started using this product a year ago, it made my skin super irritated, dry, and flakey, but that's really all a part of the process of getting great results when using a retinal. I have tried others in the past, but this is the best. Even when my skin was irritated in the beginning, it never bothered me when I was actually applying the product because it was genial enough-I have used other retinoids with high alcohol concentrations which would burn my skin, but skinceuticals is AWESOME and doesn't burn at all!

Good Product
This is a very strong, yet effective retinol product. I've been using another brand for 10 years and thought I was ready to make the 1% leap but I regretfully was not. I started every third night and then increased to every other night and after several weeks I developed cystic acne; therefore, I returned this one and purchased the SkinCeuticals .5 instead.

Miracle worker
This is a miracle worker, and my hg night cream. I love it so much and it actually helped diminish my crows feet lines and also the lines on my forehead from frowning. Worked so well for me I got this as a gift for my mom. Try it, you will be happy with the results. Also should note that this did not cause my skin to burn or flake or peel.

Changed my life
I can't say enough about how great this product really is. I started out using the .05 for about 6 mos.,worked great. Then I bumped it up to .1 and I really started seeing a big change. Let your skin get use to the product by using 2 days a week and work up to whatever makes so feel comfortable. My face did start peeling a bit at first, now just gorgeous skin. I must say all my friends are commenting on how great my skin looks. Thinking I had some down at a doctors office. Love love this product and you will too. Don't forget your chest!

I started using this product right when I received it. I read the reviews that it's best to start with the lower dose if your skin is not ready for 1.0, but given that I have been battling adult acne and currently using the Skin Ceuticals Adult Acne treatment kit (which does cause some dryness and redness when used daily), then I figured my skin was ready for it. I was right, so far with 2 nightly treatments I have not noticed any additional dryness. I follow the directions and wait 30 minutes before applying anything else to my face. I think the addition of a moisturizer likely helps. I would recommend it!

This stuff is potent, please read the package labeling and insert as it suggests starting of slow and gradually increasing the amount. Great product, I wake up with clear, soft skin. Make sure to wait 30 minutes before applying other products as directed in the package

Beware.........
I used this for years and love it. Since they changed their preservative to methtlisothiazolino, which is know to be sensitizing, I can no longer use it. Took me awhile to figure this out. The last tube I bought burned my face like crazy. Think I'll try Skinmedic.
