In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.
As a precaution, retinol face creams should not be used by pregnant women or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, always consult a physician.

Fabulous product
This product is awesome. It just takes a dab. Less is more. Rub a little on your face prior to your other facial products. You will start to notice results in about a wk. I would recommend this and all of the SkinCeuticals line to have a beautiful face. 5 stars

Good but very strong
I made the mistake of using this too often and irritated my skin. I've since cut back to only 3x per week and my skin is doing much better. I received for Christmas and will need to use longer before noticing results. I love the Skinceuticals brand and am using several other products from this line and am very pleased.

I just got mine and you had to pop the top - it was a pain but I did it with a sharp knife. FYI for other people who receive. Either way....used it on a Sat and then again Mon night and by Tues/Wed/Thurs I was lightly peeling starting around my eyes/nose, then it moved to my chin, then forehead. I used a light exfoliating face wash and my new skin was appearing. I've gotten many compliments about my skin looking new and refreshed. I love it! Sun night I used it again after the peeling went away. Will continue to use a few times a week. Give it a shot. Pricey but worth it so far.

This product is the best thing that has happened to me in a long time, because due to ageing, I had started losing confidence in myself. When I first started using it, I had to stop as I had a massive case of dryness and peeling because of the overzealous way i started out. Months later, I decided to go back to it and needless to say, I was more careful and bam! my face started changing and became smoother and more youthful. The pores too became fewer. I have to point out that I've not built a strong tolerance to it as I still dry out if I put on too much product or if I use it daily, so I use it twice a week and it still works wonders for me. If still on the fence about this product (Retinol 1.0 Maximum Strength Refining Night Cream by Skinceuticals) just jump!! But make sure to have a soft landing.......lol

Not worth it
I didn't have any results from this tube whatsoever. I've used the 0.5 strength in the past (purchased elsewhere), and it worked just fine. I figured I was ready for the stronger product, but this did absolutely nothing...I even applied it twice a day (heavily), and nothing....no peeling, no tingling....nothing! I'm not sure if these tubes are supposed to have a foil seal, but this one did not. I have a feeling it's a fake or it was expired. Either way, I'm extremely upset, as I paid for a product that didn't deliver. I'd love a refund or a replacement!

I like this product. Even my 77 yr old mother likes it. For those who don't have the patience to apply multiple layers of skincare, at night, but want to age well, this is the product. Heads-up, though, make sure your skin is 100% dry before applying. Even the slightest dampness will lead to skin irritation and/or peeling. It's worth waiting just a few minutes, after you wash and pat dry your face, to get the best results. I apply it everywhere, forehead to chest, even upper and lower eyelids. Also, it soaks in pretty fast. On days when my skin feels particularly dry, I follow up with a layer of moisturizer.

The product works!
This product is strong but works. Due to the cell regeneration, skin cancer appears on my face much less often. Any dark spots are definitely lighten. Good for preventing blemishes also. A thin layer of the product on the face 4 to 7 days a week is all that is needed. If I stop and then start the product again, some flaking may occur but the flaking stops within a week for me. I figure, if I experience flaking, the product is doing its job. I can always apply less often if desired.
