In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.
As a precaution, retinol face creams should not be used by pregnant women or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, always consult a physician.

Best pimple defense
Ive been using this product for years. I love it. At first sign of a pimple, I apply this cream. It dries out the pimple and doesn't usually give it a chance to surface. Used on existing blemishes, it dries them out and shortens their showtime on my face. Best use for me is in the summer when my face is more oily, not so much during the winter when my skin is dry. For me, this cream is very drying, which is a good thing when trying to eliminate a pimple, just not all the time.

Not too harsh for dry skin!
Products always dry out my skin. So I have always been nervous to use Retinol but after much research, I decided to give this line and product a try. I followed the directions and used every other day! No redness, no irritation, and no dryness!! It is not too thick or heavy and smells great. My skin is so soft after. it hasn't been long enough to give an honest review on again but I will update in a couple weeks!

Along with the fact that this cream does everything it says it does it works really well for oil control. I have super oily skin and have to blot all day long, but with this my oily skin is under control. Before bed I clean my face and put a layer of this on. In the morning I start by using a good astringent on my face before putting makeup on and my oil is controlled all day!

I have been using this for a few weeks now. I went from a .5 retinol to this one and after a week I noticed the difference in my skin. My texture is a lot smoother and my dark spots are almost all gone. This stuff is great but you have to build a tolerance to it by using it every other night or every 2-3 nights.

Besides prescription-strength Tretinoin, this is the most effective retinol product I've ever used. I've used a few other brands and none have been as potent as Skinceuticals. If your skin starts to peel and burn when using this product I would recommend something with ceramides (like Cerave or Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Restore) to help restore your moisture barrier.
