In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.
Retinol may increase photosensitivity. Always use a high-protection, broad spectrum sunscreen when using this product.
As a precaution, retinol face creams should not be used by pregnant women or women who intend to become pregnant in the near future. Though there are no reports of topical retinol having any negative effect on fetal development, always consult a physician.

Effective product
This is intense but it works - my skin peeled and flaked like crazy getting used to it but when I put a very rich and heavy moisturizer on top it got better. Now I use it every night.

Strong and Affordable!
I love this retinol! I have been using retinol for years so I can tolerate this strong formula. I definitely wouldn't recommend starting out with this one if you're new to retinol. SkinCeuticals is amazing quality and backed by science, I trust their products. There are a lot of retinol products out there but this one is amazing. It is also very affordable when compared to others of similar quality and "medical" grade brands.

I love Skinceuticals. Make sure your skin is acclimated for 1%. I have been using retinol 0.3 for a couple of years even then I had to decrease the usage of 1%. But this is really effective.

Really works well
This works well! I use this a few times a week or once a week. Don't mix this with a glycolic acid serum or cream & use together because it will dry you out a lot and make you a little red. My mistake is I needed something intense to lighten my dark spots and reduce any fine lines (I'm 30). And after using both glycolic and retinol for 3 nights straight, it made me very dry and red on my forehead. So don't use both together lol. As you read, it did work for sure! This is great. I use it on my laugh lines and sometimes on my décolletage in between my chest to prevent wrinkles there because I do have a little sun damage from being out all weekend and didn't use sun screen -__- so to prevent that aging look you don't want on your chest when your 60, definitely putting this on will help that. Great and effective product! Will re-purchase! Oh, and I started with the 1% & it didn't irritate me at all. Maybe if you have really sensitive skin, start with the 0.5% !
