In the evening, apply 4‐5 drops to clean dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Allow product to absorb before applying other skincare products. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night, then every night as tolerated. It is recommended for new users to start with a Retinol 0.3 to establish skin tolerance.

Start off slowly but it works!
I started using this a couple of months ago without using the lower concentrations (risky I know). I'm 35 with fair skin and had noticed some sun spots appearing which I was trying to tackle. I started using this every 3 days and I did have some peeling (not much redness), but luckily was able to hide this during quarantine! Over the following weeks I have managed to increase use to every night or two, and the texture of my skin has improved a lot! My pores look smaller, and I can see my sun spots slowly fading. I think it will be 6 month process or so, but my skin looks so much better and brighter. I would just advise to find a good moisturizer to counteract and dryness, but this stuff is strong and definitely works!

Like the product, hate the packaging
The product itself works well but I hated the packaging. It's difficult to get just the right amount out because every time I took the cap off, it started spilling out. I only used a pea-sized amount twice a week, so it lasted a pretty long time. After 7 months of use, I noticed that the packaging was so cracked that it started spilling out on the sides... I'm very unhappy with it, I don't think it was worth the price.

Not my favorite
I've found that this product doesn't absorb into my skin very well, so when I add my moisturizer afterwards my moisturizer forms "balls" with the retinol all over my face. Also the top of the tube doesn't contain the product very well and a considerable amount of the product ends up coming out of the tube after use.

Game changer! Definitely see changes in my skin, most notable so far is way less breakouts and more even tone. And even if I do have a breakout it heals quicker than usual. It is very strong so I have to be carful not to get it close to the sensitive skin around my eyes or else there can be some burning, drying and peeling. I do see some reduction in my fine lines also. Mousturize well after. Great product!

I love this retinol! I have been using retinol for years so I can tolerate this strong formula. I definitely wouldn't recommend starting out with this one if you're new to retinol. SkinCeuticals is amazing quality and backed by science, I trust their products. There are a lot of retinol products out there but this one is amazing. It is also very affordable when compared to others of similar quality and "medical" grade brands.

I love Skinceuticals. Make sure your skin is acclimated for 1%. I have been using retinol 0.3 for a couple of years even then I had to decrease the usage of 1%. But this is really effective.
