Fountain of youth, get it!!
I've been using SkinCeuticals products for about 4 years now. I'm 37 years old and people who don't know me are always shocked when they find out my real age! Early 20s?! Sure :-) I credit my genes, healthy lifestyle/diet and SkinCeuticals. Don't hesitate, just be intentional with your skincare, get this product. It's #1.

So far so good!
Using this for my melasma. Seems to be doing the job. Was a bit irritating at first but my skin has adapted to it.

One of, if not THE best retinol
My face is no stranger to retinoids, having used Tazorac nightly between the ages of 16 and 25. When my skin went absolutely crazy with hormonal acne in 2016, I stopped using the Tazorac because frankly it didn't seem to be doing anything. I found other ways to manage my particular type of acne (birth control and salicylic acid, primarily), and once my skin looked like skin again, I wanted to add a retinol back into my routine for the anti-aging benefits. So when I started by using this SkinCeuticals retinol 2-3 times a week for a few months, I couldn't figure out why I wasn't noticing a difference in my face. I forgot that my skin was already used to vitamin A! I tried others too, including The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 5% in Squalane, which is a great budget option if they ever restock it, and the Peter Thomas Roth Retinol Fusion PM (not at the same time). I wasn't expecting any of them to be miraculous - these days, I don't really have many problem areas to begin with - but it seemed like there were no results at all. I've returned to the SkinCeuticals 1% because I am a huge fan of the brand (though it is always a splurge) and this particular retinol seems to be the most recommended by professionals. The cream is also, in my opinion, preferable to the liquid formulas. I'm now using it every night and I'm finally noticing a difference when I wake up in the morning - especially when I use it alongside The Ordinary's Buffet Serum and the SkinCeuticals Emollience moisturizer in the winter. When I do get a breakout, it doesn't stick around, and the one fine line I have next to my mouth is less noticeable than before. If you're like me and had a dermatologist-prescribed retinoid as a teen/young adult (they don't all have easily identifiable names like Retin-A, so make sure you look up any prescription products you've used if you're not sure), you can definitely start out with the 1%. If you have no experience with retinoids/retinols at all, it really depends on your skin but most people would recommend starting with a lower strength like the .3% or .5%. You definitely can't go wrong with SkinCeuticals if you're willing to spend the money. Just make sure you wash it off in the morning and WEAR SUNSCREEN DURING THE DAY.

Great Product. Quite Strong but Effective.
Skinceuticals seems to be the only brand that carries retinol product without ingredients I'm allergic to. This is my first retinol product, and starting from 1.0 can be quite strong. I started by applying once a week and noticed some peelings. Due to the pandemic, I am either at home or out wearing a mask so the peelings did not bother me. The peeling was also not too bad as I did not experience any redness or itchiness. I did not use any additional moisturizer and just left my skin peelIng. The peeling went away on the 3rd week, and I quickly transitioned into twice a week and now three times a week. I also experienced some purging: 2 cystic acne on my right cheek, and 3 whitehead acne on my forehead that dried down quickly. I am currently left with 1 remaining cystic acne and the rest of my skin is in great condition! My skin condition is more stable than before and this product really helped with my mask acne. Highly recommend if you have a healthy skin and is looking for improvements. For sensitive skin, start from a lower concentration which this brand also carries.

Very, very strong.
This item is very, very strong. Once I started using it every other day (versus a couple times a week) it nearly burned my skin. It's effective but please be warned at its strength. Skin can also chafe for quite a while.

This REALLY Works, The Magic Eraser
This has done so much for my wrinkles. I had a mapwork of wrinkles - so bad they actually intertwined and pulled my face down even more. Slowly the wrinkles are resolving. Many are gone, some have now faded and the remaining ones are lessening in depth. Amazing to see your face age in reverse. I have been using this since end of December 2019. The only difficult part is being patient to see the results. Not as afraid to look in the mirror and will continue to work on the wrinkles until I can look in the mirror. I have been tempted to get fillers but wish to resolve the wrinkles, not hide them. The cost is worth the outcome. Much cheaper than fillers or Face Lift.

This is amazing!
This works so well! Careful not to go too crazy to quick though. It's very portent. You have to build this into your routine slowly. Start twice a week and then increase it.

Love it so far!!
Have noticed a difference in my skin since using this. I switched over from Skin Medica 1.0 and I must say S.C. seems a lot stronger than the Skin Medica. That being said I need to take it a little slower.Like it so far.

Great Results!
I'm so pleased with the effectiveness of this formula. Definitely proceed with caution at the start as your skin will likely need some time to get used to how strong it is!
