Great product for sensitive skin

I purchased the 1.0 originally and kept trying to use it but always would have a reaction with redness and peeling. The 0.3 is perfect. I tolerate it with no side effects but can definitely see improvement.

Wonderful Product!

I use this product for treatment of blemishes, and it works! I also believe this product contributes to the prevention of blemishes, as I've noticed that new blemishes don't develop after regularly using this product for a few weeks! I have used different strengths of SkinCeuticals Retinol and learned that SkinCeuticals 0.3% Retinol is best for me and my sensitive skin. I use this product in a very specific way, in that I only begin to apply it (nightly) when I notice blemishes. I then apply it nightly about five times a week for several weeks, which is usually a few weeks after I'm blemish-free, and then stop using it for several weeks until I notice blemishes again. (I try to limit retinol use due to sun sensitivity issues.) I'm not recommending that others adopt the method of application I use, as it might not be advisable for others. I just know that this method works BEAUTIFULLY for me. I also like that this product is noncomedogenic, paraben-free, and fragrance-free.

Great Retinol!

This retinol is awesome! Once you start building up your tolerance for it, you can use it every night. At the beginning, I noticed a little flaky skin, but once I built up my tolerance, I now use it every night with no flakes. It did minimize my fine lines on my forehead, but you will need to consistently use it to see those results.

Best Retinol Product

At first, I was wary of Skinceuticals because of the high price tag, especially in a day and age where you can find comparable "dupes" with a quick internet search. But I did a deep dive on the brand and decided that their commitment to research, clinical trials and finding stable formulas made them well worth the price tag. Now, you can't see results of retinol for about 12 weeks or so, especially because in the beginning, you're only supposed to use it once, maybe twice a week. It's only been about 3 weeks for me (so about 6 applications) so I won't claim to notice overall benefits with regards to skin texture or wrinkles, but i *can* say it's been great for my hormonal acne. I get those big nodular cysts that lay deep in the surface and are therefore impervious to patches and spot treatments. But the retinol wiped it out (I've been using it as a daily spot treatment too which has been more beneficial than my other 6 spot treatments). I test drove another retinol product which made my face very red and very flaky within 2 days. That may have just meant it was too strong for me, which is another plus for Skinceuticals - they have gradual degrees of their retinol formula. So far, I've had none of the adverse effects other than a little flake that cleared up with a light moisturizer, so I'm really pleased with the product.

Noticeable difference

This is a great product to start with when beginning retinol. I didn't have too much redness and it really works.

Retinol for sensitive skin

This retinol has become a key part of my nightly routine. I followed the usage instructions until I got to the point where I can use it every night. I did notice dryness/flakiness at the beginning of using it, but that disappeared as I continued use. I have noticed a huge improvement in the texture/complexion of my skin. I struggle with hormonal/cystic acne and have definitely had less flare ups since using this consistently.

Great Intro to Retinol, Packaging was a problem

This was my first retinol experience and overall it went really well. Unfortunately, when I was about 2/3 of the way through the tube, the tube broke a little bit in the corner. I covered it with tape and stored it in a plastic bag but it made me worry that somehow the efficacy would be affected. But, besides that, I really liked this product. I employed the "retinol sandwich" technique and except for one or two times, I did not experience peeling or redness. I recommend this product, just be very careful with the tube, the metal is really thin.

Great Intro to Retinol

I am not new to retinols but sometimes still appreciate this gentle option on days when my skin is more sensitive. It still produces great results and the ingredients are lovely. I absolute love SkinCeuticals and their products, they're backed by science and I know that they work. In comparison to a lot of other medical grade skincare brands, they are actually quite affordable in my opinion. Will be repurchasing.
