SkinCeuticals Purifying Cleanser combines glycolic acid and glycerin to simultaneously remove impurities and hydrate the skin. This cleansing gel delivers mild foaming action to refine a dull and uneven complexion while replenishing hydration leaving skin feeling refreshed, renewed, and conditioned.

When packaging changed quantity changed (price the same for less)
I have used this purifying cleanser for a long time through changes in product ownership. I love it. It plumps skin a little and takes off the little dry peeling that is caused by my anti aging product. What I don't love is that they changed the bottle recently. It is the same price but it was formerly 8.4 oz and now it is 6.8 oz. I don't respect back door prices increases.

Refreshing cleanser
I think the best way to describe this cleanser would be refreshing. My skin feels clean when I use it. I don't think it particularly helps for acne or other skin conditions though. I like to use it at night to remove makeup.

Exceptional glycolic cleanser
This product has a beautiful, refreshing texture and a little indeed goes a long way. It also doesn't dry out skin as most glycolic cleansers do, but instead has a very subtly smoothing effect after a few uses. If you are using a high strength retinoid or other prescription product with drying side effects, this cleanser is probably not the right choice. It is stripping enough that it makes it more difficult to tolerate prescription-strength treatments.

In my opinion, cleansing and with which product is the foundation of good skin care. Purifying Cleanser by SkinCeuticals is great for ONLY, 1st or 2nd cleanser and for all ages. Does NOT dry out my 53-year-old combination and sensitive skin. A little goes a long way with a touch of warm water - cleanses thoroughly and rinses off easily; leaving moist skin primed for SkinCeuticals treatment products.
