SkinCeuticals Purifying Cleanser combines glycolic acid and glycerin to simultaneously remove impurities and hydrate the skin. This cleansing gel delivers mild foaming action to refine a dull and uneven complexion while replenishing hydration leaving skin feeling refreshed, renewed, and conditioned.

- Glycolic Acid: derived from sugar cane, this alpha-hydroxy acid helps facilitate skin’s natural exfoliation while eliminating dead skin cell buildup to improve the appearance of the skin’s tone and texture

I use this everyday it really does clean very well. The price I believe is extremely high so I use it sparingly. I do not understand why this product is priced so high. My husband used it but stopped because it appeared not to help his adult acne.
