SkinCeuticals Physical Matte UV Defense SPF 50 is a daily, oil-absorbing sunscreen designed to provide facial sun protection. This mattifying, 100% physical sunscreen is formulated with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide to deliver high broad-spectrum UV protection with a shine-free, matte finish, even in the most humid temperatures. Its weightless mousse texture with a universally flattering tint dries to a powder finish giving your complexion a smooth look while minimizing the appearance of pores.

Apply sunscreen liberally to the face, neck, and chest 15 minutes before sun exposure and before applying makeup. Reapply sunscreen after 40 minutes of swimming, sweating, immediately after towel drying, and least every two hours. For children under six months of age, consult a physician before use.

Underwhelming
I was excited to try a new product from SkinCeuticals, but this sunscreen should not have been it. It peels too much and I can't even complete by entire skin care routine. I can only use the C E Ferulic and then this sunscreen won't pill. I checked to make sure my skin care products don't contain silicone and they don't. I'm not a fan of how this sunscreen feels and I will be returning. I gave it a month and I still don't like it.

A Little Grainy in Texture
I usually use the Elta MD products for daily sunscreen but wanted to try this one because I am a big fan of Skinceuticals other products. I have naturally oily skin and I liked the idea of mattifying sunscreen, although Elta's doesn't add to my shine. There may be a small mattifying effect of this sunscreen although it isn't remarkable. I don't mind the feel of it on my skin once it's on, but it has a grainy texture when applying it that is a little icky feeling. I will stick with my usual Elta MD product next time, but I still gave this 4 stars because compared to non-Elta products, it's nice.

Great for oily skin!
I have been very pleased with this product! I have large pores due to oily skin and rosacea. Most tinted moisturizers leave my face shiny after applying the product, and only looks worse after my oil kicks in. This product leaves a nice matte finish which lasts for hours. I will reorder!

Not my favorite Skinceutical product
I purchased this as a replacement to another Skinceutical product I have for sun protection but was not impressed with the texture. As mentioned by another reviewer the texture of the cream is gritty and does not go on smoothly esp if you have combination or dry skin. Also, I did not feel that the coverage it offers is enough to cover even slight imperfections, although not meant to do this thought I'd mention it The product does what it says though...great protection from sun and small enough to carry in your beach bag for touch-ups in the blaring hot sun.

Horrible! Really disappointing item from a loved brand
I'll stick to the Physical Fusion from now on... this was atrocious! Tried more than once as, after the first time when it felt like gritty, unblendable sand, I thought "No way, this can't be right... maybe I'm out of it today or need to warm it up in my fingers first or something". Didn't even blend out and settle "like powder", as it states. Nope! Wretched, wretched stuff.

Gritty texture!
I was so confused by the texture of it...feels like you're rubbing sand into your skin. Definitely do not recommend wearing it with makeup. However if you can get past those things, it does product your skin well and did not make me break out. I will use the tube at the beach but not buy it again.
