Not what I expected
I really wanted to love this product because I have thin, dry, sensitive skin around my eyes that requires hydration and SPF protection, but I was so disappointed! I can’t even call it an eye cream, because it has a terrible grainy texture, it’s dry and does not moisturize at all and it doesn’t blend well.

The product formulation is excellent, typical Skinceuticals style. BUT the packaging is unbelievably bad. The product oozes out from all points and corners of the tube, so it seems like the glueing agent in the packaging is messed up. A real shame, because the product is excellent.

I dig it on my eyelid
I wanted a light sunscreen (that does not sting) for my eyelids. I did not plan to wear this under my eyes (as intended). I just end-up getting an under-the-eye cream into my fine wrinkles, making myself look worse worse than better, with the product. I found this product to be OK on my eyelids. I did end-up getting it everywhere, such as above my tear duct, and it then shows that I have product on, oddly in that area. It does show-up on me. I am considered lighter with the color of my skin, if that helps. So, I find it a little fussy to apply cleanly with my fingers. I am very low maintenance., when it comes to wearing make-up, just so you know who is writing this review. I have worn the DERMAdoctor SPF eye cream (in the purple tube), and I find it easier to apply to my eyelids, on my initial application of it.

Freckles beware!
Ladies with freckles.. this is the best! I am in my early 60s and have sensitive eyes. As a result, I have avoided sunscreen close to my eyes. I now have a slight ring of freckles around my eyes that show more than the rest of my face that has ALWAYS had sunscreen. I am so happy with this product. Cannot reverse what has been done, but I can warn the younger women. Wear this around your eyes and onto cheek bone.

I have been using skinceuticals tinted sunscreen for my face for several years, as recommended by my dermatologist. I expect that this will have the same benefits and staying power during days on the slopes or during other outdoor activities.
