Designed for daytime use, this antioxidant serum neutralizes free radicals to prevent signs of accelerated skin aging. The blend of phloretin, pure vitamin C and Ferulic acid improve the appearance of discoloration, fine lines and uneven skin tone. Phloretin neutralizes damaging free radicals, improves cell turnover and lightens signs of discoloration. L-ascorbic acid protects your skin from oxidative stress while providing visible anti-aging benefits, while ferulic acid enhances the antioxidant benefits of phloretin and vitamin C.

Switched from CE ferulic
I recently switched from using skinceuticals ce ferulic to skinceuticals phloretin cf. I switched after having an increase in cystic acne and reading that phloretin cf is better suited for oily/acneic skin. So far I Like the product after using for 2 weeks, every other day, but will need to continue use for a bit longer before I can decide if it has helped.

Brigthened up my hyperpigmentation
I've only been using this vitamin c for the last 2-3 weeks, but i can tell that it has already brightened up some hyperpigmentation spots on my face from old acne scars. As others have said, the product smells pretty strongly and it dries really quickly once I apply it, but I think it's going to be worth the extra $$. I bought two cheaper alternatives that were also l-absorbic acid and had ferulic and vit e for stabilizers, but the difference was not as dramatic as I have seen with this product. My one complaint is the bottle it is in. Since l-absorbic acid has a tendency to oxidize quickly, it'd be nice if the packaging were similar to Drunk Elephants twist top that doesn't let much light or air in. On the other hand, they say even if it is darker colored, it should still be effective

My aesthetician recommended this instead of the CE ferulic because my skin can get a little oily, especially in the summer, and also this helps more with pigmentation. I was afraid with the alcoholic component this would dry me out too much in winter but it has been great, just use a good moisturizer over it!
