CE Ferulic vs. Phloretin CF
I tried both & did extensive research. I recommend CE Ferulic and here's why: 1. Both $166 but Phloretin CF has 10% ascorbic acid while CE Ferulic has 15% and will lead to better results 2. Phloretin CF lists alcohol as one of the first ingredients, not ascorbic acid! Alcohol leads to dryness and wrinkles. CE Ferulic does not contain alcohol. 3. Phloretin CF doesn't contain glycerin and isn't hydrating which causes more oil and acne as your skin compensates. CE Ferulic contains glycerin & hydrates. 4. UVA/UVB exposure leads to wrinkles. Vitamin C protects against UVA in both serums but CE Ferulic contains vitamin E which also protects against UVB. 5. CE Ferulic is MORE proven to deliver results & has evidence to back it up. TIPS: Cheaper Skinceuticals alternatives to save $$$ or if CE Ferulic didn't work (some can't tolerate vitamin E) try: - Serum 10 AOX+ (Save $96). For sensitive skin. Contains 10% ascorbic acid, 0.2% ferulic acid, no alcohol or vitamin E. Only 2-3 different MINOR ingredients compared to CE Ferulic. - Serum 20 AOX+ (Save $41). Same as previous but the next step with 20% ascorbic acid; 5% more than CE Ferulic. - C+AHA (Save $30). Doesn't contain ferulic but has 15% ascorbic acid and 10% glycolic/lactic acid to exfoliate and improve acne, texture, wrinkles, and discoloration. Use AM 2-3x/week under SPF (try EltaMD UV Clear; ranked one of the best & has 5% niacinamide) OR 2-3 nights/week to exfoliate between a retinoid since cell turnover is increased.

Better for oily skin
I gave the regular CE Ferulic a 3 star rating because it wasn't great for my oily skin. I love how much lighter this one is! Feels better on my skin and absorbs in quicker. Works just as well as the CE Ferulic - neither knocked my socks off, but they are effective and I'll probably continue to use.

Great for sun
Been using this product for over a year. It does a great job protecting my skin from the sun. I notice I burn way less frequent than others when I have this on daily. I feel like it dries a little sticky so I wait about ten minutes to put on makeup so that it is fully dry.

Love this in theory
I go back and forth between this product. I want to love it and it has amazing reviews, plus I love the Skinceuticals brand so much, but I honestly don't notice any difference. I've used it before and recently switched from their CE Ferulic serum to this one to see if it would be less greasy looking on my skin. I think this one is better for oily complexions like mine, but as far as discoloration and brightening I don't notice any benefits really. But perhaps it's more preventative...?

The best Vitamin c
This is my lol time favorite vitamin c serum! Has a bit of an interesting smell , but nothing bad! Instantly noticed brighter, more even skin after a few weeks. Best vitamin C Love the version that comes in a pump for traveling.

Don't wait
I tried everything (I thought) to conquer a ton of skin problems - including acne, fine lines, uneven texture, and dullness, not to mention a full face of melasma discoloration. Tri-Luma worked while I was using it, then all the blotches promptly came back after I stopped. I'd resigned myself to garbage skin before sucking it up and dropping the cash on this product. I came to it through CE Ferulic, but read that Phloretin was better for my ultra-oily skin. Worth it. Within a week of daily use my skin texture was overhauled, and I am well on my way to annihilating those fine lines. And best of all, the blotches are slowly fading. It's a lot slower than the hydroquinone product, but none of these ingredients are linked with health problems. I'll take it. A lot of reviewers talk about the smell, and yeah - it absolutely smells like hot dog water. But it's far less overpowering than I expected. Will be buying man more bottles in the future.

Better than C E Ferulic
In my humble opinion, this is better than C E Ferulic. I've used it for years and could not live without, but I was having issues with clogged pores and switching to this antioxidant really helped. My skin feels instantly tighter and seems to glow when I'm consistent with the product. If you love CE Ferulic, you may want to give your skin a change (go back and forth) or of you deal with acne, for sure use this one instead.
