SkinCeuticals' Phloretin CF provides powerful antioxidant protection to normal, oily and combination skin types. Designed for daytime use, this antioxidant serum neutralizes free radicals to prevent signs of accelerated skin aging. The blend of phloretin, pure vitamin C and Ferulic acid improve the appearance of discoloration, fine lines and uneven skin tone. Phloretin neutralizes damaging free radicals, improves cell turnover and lightens signs of discoloration. L-ascorbic acid protects your skin from oxidative stress while providing visible anti-aging benefits, while ferulic acid enhances the antioxidant benefits of phloretin and vitamin C.

- 2% Phloretin: derived from apples and the root bark of fruit trees including apple, pear, and grapefruit, this antioxidant neutralizes damaging free radicals, helps improve cell turnover, and improves the appearance of discoloration.
- 10% Pure vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid): lauded for its superior antioxidant benefits, this highly potent form of pure vitamin C neutralizes damaging free radicals and protects against oxidative stress while providing visible anti-aging benefits.
- 0.5% Ferulic acid: a plant-based antioxidant, ferulic acid neutralizes free radicals and enhances the antioxidant benefits of phloretin and vitamins C and E.

My absolute favorite vitamin C serum
I go between this and Obagi 20% vitamin C. They are both fantastic products but the Phloretin gives you an automatic glow and does help with discoloration.

Easy to Use
I switched over to this product from the C E Ferulic since this is recommended for oily skin. This is a lovely product that is easy to use, however it does take a little longer to see results than the CE. Overall, this still works really well to brighten my skin but hasn't had an impact on oiliness.

Great for Melasma
I've tried so many different vit c products and nothing is comparable to this. I have melasma and this product has clearly made a HUGE difference. Was apprehensive about the price but pulled the trigger and so glad I did. Will be continuing to buy this and eventually when melasma is gone, will switch over to the vitC.

I've been using Phloretin CF for a couple of months and this is my first time using the Skinceuticals brand. While my results haven't been dramatic, I appreciate that it doesn't have fragrance or harsh ingredients. I did have some sensitivity at first from the alcohol and I think I will try to the C E Ferulic next time.

Began using 2/3 months ago (still have plenty left) it's subtle, but I am think this has really helped my overall skin tone & texture!! I bought this to treat my redness and discoloration. Seems to help with anti-aging as well! Took awhile to get used to using: after shower or face wash, my esthetician recommends using 4 drops on face, a drop on neck, a drop on decollate and drops on front of hands. She also advised once you put this on your skin, it stays in your system: so if you take it off by washing your face early in day or put on late in day, doesn't matter: you will get the full effect. I may try more popular Skinceuticals CE Ferulic next round for comparison, nonetheless think I'm hooked on this expensive, effective product. One bottle lasts a long time! I keep bottle in my fridge, upon another Dermstore user recommendation!

Best texture/smell for Vitamin C
This has a better texture and smell compared to Phloretin CF but I didn't notice as much in visible effects. It's still a great alternative if CE Ferulic breaks you out but I will stick to CE Ferulic.
