SkinCeuticals' Phloretin CF provides powerful antioxidant protection to normal, oily and combination skin types. Designed for daytime use, this antioxidant serum neutralizes free radicals to prevent signs of accelerated skin aging. The blend of phloretin, pure vitamin C and Ferulic acid improve the appearance of discoloration, fine lines and uneven skin tone. Phloretin neutralizes damaging free radicals, improves cell turnover and lightens signs of discoloration. L-ascorbic acid protects your skin from oxidative stress while providing visible anti-aging benefits, while ferulic acid enhances the antioxidant benefits of phloretin and vitamin C.
Key Ingredients:
- 2% Phloretin: derived from apples and the root bark of fruit trees including apple, pear, and grapefruit, this antioxidant neutralizes damaging free radicals, helps improve cell turnover, and improves the appearance of discoloration.
- 10% Pure vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid): lauded for its superior antioxidant benefits, this highly potent form of pure vitamin C neutralizes damaging free radicals and protects against oxidative stress while providing visible anti-aging benefits.
- 0.5% Ferulic acid: a plant-based antioxidant, ferulic acid neutralizes free radicals and enhances the antioxidant benefits of phloretin and vitamins C and E.

I had used the CEF for a few years, and stumbled across this as a potential gentler serum. It’s also lighter and less of that “hot dog” scent. Although if either has an overly strong scent or is dark-colored check to make sure you have good product! Love Skinceuticals and have been happy woth this.

Requires commitment for results
I'd been eyeing CE Ferulic for some time because of stellar reviews but this seemed better for my skin. Unfortunately liquid smoke is kinda spot on scent-wise but it does not bother me. Using too much makes the skin sticky and because of price point and actives, I only pair with other Skinceuticals products after to make as effective as possible. You won't see quick results but if you stick with it you will see better skin.

My wallet hates it but my skin LOVES it!
I've very selective with what I put on my skin - even more so after starting to see a dermatologist and dealing with different skin and health issues over the past few years. I have tried several other vitamin C serums over the years but couldn't justify the price tag for SkinCeuticals. The texture was noticeably smoother and I was less oily by the end of the day. Since then, it's been a couple weeks and I'm starting to see more evenness in my skin tone - the hyperpigmentation from old acne scars is less vivid and the slight rosacea redness I have also seems to be lessened. I admit it - I'm in love and as long as I can afford it - SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF - you've got a place in my heart.
