SkinCeuticals Gentle Cleanser is a non-irritating cream cleanser designed to purify the skin while diminishing feelings of discomfort. Designed for sensitive or traumatized skin, this non-irritating cleanser calms and soothes, as it removes excess oils and debris, leaving the skin feeling pure, fresh and comfortable.

Great cleanser
Moisturizing and does a fairly good job of cleansing. If I'm wearing a lot of make up I need to cleanse more than one to ensure everything comes off but a great cleanser for sensitive or dry skin.

SO Gentle! Perfect For After Treatments
I love the Gentle Cleanser for after laser, microderm or skin pen procedures. As others have noted I agree it has a creamy factor to it, making it so gentle! It smooths over my skin & feels nourishing. There is no smell which I appreciate.

Gentle Cleanser
Because of my oily, acne-prone skin I had never used "Gentle Cleansers" before. I always grabbed the salicylic acid/benzoyl peroxide cleansers; anything to dry out my pimples. When I finally started my Accutane course because the medication makes your skin dry I was recommended by my dermatologist to use a gentle cleanser that won't irritate the skin and I chose this because I liked the brand as I was already using the SkinCeuticals Vitamin CE & Freulic and loved it. I had never known the feeling of hydration after using a cleanser. It felt awesome. It made my skin feel soft and moist. The texture itself is very smooth and milky similar to that of a body wash and despite it being a gentle cleanser it cleans off my makeup (I wear foundation everyday) completely. I did not experience any break outs. It does have a subtle scent to it but I think it smells quite pleasant.

Best cleanser for sensitive skin
I have very sensitive skin, and was recently diagnosed with Rosacea so I need a gentle but efficient cleanser and this is it! Creamy, very faint citrus smell, glides easily on skin and removes all of my tinted sunscreen- no need to double cleanse. A little goes a long way and it lasts 3mos (wash 2x/day). Never a reaction, pimple, redness, nothing. Great price too!

Great gentle cleanser
I use this every morning (and switch off between this and an exfoliating scrub at night) and I really like it. It's very gentle on the skin and the product feels very smooth. Since it's not a scrub I would use this with another face wash as well but it's good for the morning when you need a quick gentle cleanse.

Perfect for my needs
I bought this cleanser for the sole purpose of using it in the morning when my face is mostly clean. I do a thorough cleanse at night, so I needed something gentle for my skin that wasn't stripping my skin of moisture, and this does the trick. I can do without the citrus smell, but it's not a deal breaker. I don't use this as my primary cleanser, so I wouldn't know how effective it is at getting rid of makeup and dirt.

A gentle cleanser
The product is accurately named: its a simple, gentle cleanser. Don't expect to be wowed. It doesn't do much, like it doesn't foam or strip, but that's exactly what I wanted. I have other products for when I want a glycolic exfoliation, etc. I do most my heavier lifting at night, including the exfoliation, retinol, and other serums, so in the morning I just want a simple cleanser that doesn't activate my skin. The scent is modest and not strong. As to the reviewer who had a reaction, that's always possible since we all have sensitivities. However, the active ingredient she noted that seems out of place here (citrus) is in fact perfectly suited for a gentle cleanser. In fact, many rosacea patients swear by citrus ingredients to calm their skin. So it's just a matter of each individual finding the right fit. This one works for me. For those who want more foaming and equally gentle wash, try the Neocutis Neocleanse.
