Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

My dermatologist recommended this to help with discoloration in addition to SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF. I use the vitamin C first, then this serum every morning. I’ve definitely noticed an overall improvement to my discoloration and melasma, much lighter and smaller spots. I can’t say if it’s just because of one serum or the other but I want all the help I can get! My esthetician also recommended to use this immediately after the BioRePeel when I couldn’t use vitamin C for a few days. A lot goes a long way, so the bottle will last a few months.

This product always does the trick
I received this product as a sample in the past and it seemed to work on lightening my discoloration. Recently, I had a facial and the lady had a poor extraction technique that caused hyperpigmentation on my nose. I was horrified. Everyday my nose got darker. So on day three I began using the rest of my sample and ordered a bottle. I have been using it 1-2 daily with sunscreen and it is helping. I think my nose didn’t get as dark as it would have because I started using this product early. I tried this with the Phloretin CF, but my skin was little dry. So I paired it with the HA intensifier that I usually use. I am am African American with a medium complexion and have always dealt with hyperpigmentation issues and sensitive skin. Skin Cuticles has been working for me for over 5 years and I love their products. But follow their suggestions, because they work. Their suggestions have been accurate for me.
