Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

This stuff really does work! I have very dry and sensitive skin so this product made my skin a little more sensitive to the sun even though I was wearing sunscreen. Overall this product definitely did what it claims and I will continue to use as a spot treatment on certain areas of my face that need it.

Helps with Hormonal acne / scars
Blemish + age defense is great for anyone that has persistent hormonal acne or acne scars. I have dry skin and in my 40s and lately have been struggling with cystic type of acne as well as congestion. This serum along with the Blemish + Age serum has greatly helped my skin to clear up. One bottle lasted me an entire year, but even after that time, I haven't seen a noticeable difference in the discoloration on my cheeks and chin. I know patience is required for these products to work but I was hoping for more obvious results. The texture of the serum is nice and easily smoothed over my face. This product works!
I have fair, combination skin with minor sun damage/discoloration and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. After 2x daily application for 2 months this product has lightened my dark spots by 70%, nearly eradicated my PIH, and evened out my complexion beautifully. As an added bonus, this product has greatly improved my retinoid tolerance. After starting this product I was able to increase my retinoid usage from twice a week to every other day without any irritation! With all that said, you do have to be realistic when using this product. It will not provide the same results as regular laser peel treatments or a heavy dose prescription hydroquinone cream, but with continued and consistent use it IS quite effective. Halfway through my first bottle my sun spots are nearly gone and my PIH is a thing of the past!

I haven't seen any big changes in my dark spots but have only been using the product for 1-2 months. I'm going to keep up the routine for another few months and see how it goes.

Lightens dark marks
