Brighten and balance your skin tone with SkinCeuticals Discoloration Defense, a dark spot corrector that reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation caused by sun exposure, medical procedures or acne.
Formulated with 3% Tranexamic Acid, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide, and 5% HEPES, the treatment targets stubborn brown patches and post-inflammatory discolouration to even the skin tone and help to minimise the appearance of future marks with continued use. In as little as two weeks, the complexion will be unified, radiant and visibly healthier-looking.
Suitable for all skin types.
Free from parabens, silicones, fragrances, gluten and hydroquinone.
Due to the concentration of Kojic acid in this formula, a shift in color is expected. This could lead to a light brown or amber color, but the formula remains effective.
Twice daily, apply three to five drops to face. For morning use, apply after a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and follow with a SkinCeuticals broad-spectrum SPF 50+ sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use on irritated or broken skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

I’ve read consistently positive reviews of this product. My concern is how quickly it loses its efficacy (turns a brown colour after one month of twice daily use).

No Visible Results
I received a deluxe sample of this with a purchase and did not see any difference after using it. The consistency was very light. Perhaps it would work if used for a longer period of time.

Best for fading acne marks and dark spots
This product helps in getting rid of stubborn hormonal acne marks and dark spots. I use it with vit.c to help with PID from years back and my skin has cleared up and the marks are almost gone. One of my favorites for fading discoloration.

Effective
I saw visible results with continuous use, twice a day as instructed. My only concern is how quickly the serum darkens from exposure to air and thus loses its effect.

SkinCeuticals is the real deal
I haven't tried a product by them I haven't enjoyed. I wish the price way a little more affordable, however you get what you pay for. For sensitive skin, this is a great product to use on rotation with other more gentle serums. Immediate results for hyperpigmentation ans fine lines.

Disappointed
After having amazing experiences using other SkinCeuticals products, I was excited to give this a try. After consistent use for >2 months, I have seen zero results. I am very disappointed in this product and would not purchase it again or recommend it. I see no improvement in my discoloration.

Great for hyperpigmentation
I like this a lot and it lasts FOREVER so you get your money's worth. I prefer the blemish & age SC bottle, but I will be finishing this out in its entirety.

Fav serum
I’ve been using this for a year now on and off. This serum is worth the buck! Whenever I have acne scars, I use this serum for 2-3 months and I saw results! I’ve tried so many hyperpigmentation serums and nothing works but this! I’ve searched for over 10 years and just now found something amazing! My fav so far.
